Thankful Thursday

Ollie: Woofs, Everyone! I wanted to thank all those who sent good wishes for my Lily's first birthday. #1 and I had a great time celebrating with her yesterday. Everyone says she has my smile:

#1 is letting our garden grow a bit wild at the moment, as part of the "No Mow May" movement to provide a better habitat for wildlife. It is really pretty!

  2. Yes, Lily does have your big smile. Your no mow area looks lovely. Ivor and I are always at odds with cutting the lawn. I like it longer with flowers in it but he likes to keep it mown right down. Grrr!

  3. we believe in the jungle grow and most of our property is allowed to go jungle. Bob was cutting the fallen leaves to mulch in the sand that is our yard due to drought. when he mulches leaves the dust flying into the air and chokes him and the plants. if he doesn mulch the leaves we are left with black sand that flies into the pool. your jungle is goregous. I say let it grow all year

  4. Lily does have a lovely smile, just like you Tommy!
The early Spring growth is so nice to see after Winter ends. I think lots of wildlife appreciate it too :)

  5. My #1 smiles with a WAY TO GO with the NO MOW MAY - she's heard pieces on NPR about it - she has the same mindset and doesn't use weed killer khrap -

AND we will all smile again today having seen the post!

    H&K&W,
    Willow

  11. What a lovely grin, Lily! Just like your Dad!

I have not heard of No Mow May! What a great idea! We don't mow much in the wooded part of our yard, only pulling up the more nasty kinds of weeds that are invasive, toxic or have prickle to get stuck in doggy furs...

Your yard looks so vibrant and pretty, Ollie.
