Happy Birthday Heloise!

 

Today, we celebrated the 7th birthday of our beautiful black pearl, HELOISE! It seems like yesterday when she looked like this (taken on the day she was born, April 29, 2017):

And look at her now!

Heloise is of course Violette's half-sister. Her Mama, our beautiful Hotesse, (L) was with us until she galloped off to The Bridge at the age of 27 a couple of years ago. Her Daddy (R) is breed champion, Titus de Vanoise.

At two years old when she escaped from her field and came for a visit, just as Violette had done at the same age!

At three, when she came with her Mama to join Violette at Ms. C's:

Ms. C has now bought a majority share in Heloise with a view to working her and breeding her, but Poupounette Central retains a minority share and she will continue to be an integral part of our family.

Snuggles on Sunday

 

Tama-Chan: Hello, Dear Friends, and welcome to our weekly snuggle post. This week, I would like rto start with some lovely guests. Mr. G's sister, Ms. L, has a beautiful dog called Paddie (she is a friend of Ollie's) who is great friends with one of their cats, Loubiac, and we got some really nice photos from them:

I have to say, they are pretty sweet together!

With #1 away and then busy on her return, photo-taking here has taken a bit of a back seat this past week, but here is one of Ryū and Benny hanging together:

Feline and Family Friday

 

Ryū: I am so happy that #1 is back home and I can get cuddles from her all day long! But Mr. G is a pretty cool guy too, and he looked after us really well. We already shared the beautiful pics he took of Queen Tama, so here are his photos of the rest of us.

Thankful Thursday

 

Benny: As you can imagine, we are most thankful this week to have our #1 back after her stay in Belgium, and we are proud of her for passing her course!

As many of you guessed, she did not forget us. On her way up and on her way back, she stopped at the great discount shops and got quite a haul for us. Here I am examining it:

And she got a bunch of these for Ollie. She mixes them in with the more boring dog food and he loves it!

I think we'll keep her! She does good work! Thanks, #1!

Woofie Wednesday

 

Ollie: To celebrate #1's return, the weather was beautiful yesterday, and we took a couple of lovely walks up the lane and into the fields.
