Thankful Thursday

Momo-Chan: It may seem strange to be doing a Thankful post on the day that #1 is leaving us for two weeks but there are always things to be thankful for. For example, I am thankful that #1 took me to see Dr. C yesterday even though I don't really like going places. She explained that I was getting my annual check-up and boosters, to make sure I am in good shape. I now weigh 5.25 kilos, which is about eleven and a half pounds. I did really well after my shots, by the way!

Benny: We are thankful that even though #1 will be away, we will be really well taken care of by Mr. G. and I'll still get to play with my bro, Momo, and enjoy the cat run!

And we are all thankful that she made sure we have plenty to eat whilst she is away:

Ollie: I have promised #1 that I will be a good boy, and I am thankful for the nice people who will after me when she is away, Mr. G, Ms. R and Ms. C.

Tama-Chan: Thankful? Harumph! I'll be counting the minutes until my #1 gets back.

Violette and Heloise: We are thankful in anticipation of more apples and carrots when she gets back!

As we mentioned before, we will probably both be posting and commenting intermittently over the next couple of weeks. Please bear with us!

PS:#1 here. I just wanted to clarify something concerning little Asima whom we featured in yesterday's post. She is an OLD German Shepherd, the ancestor of the modern German Shepherd that everyone knows. This is a working dog that has not been bred to look a certain way and does not have the sloping hind end so often see in GSDs. They can also be a variety of different colours. You can find out more about the breed here.

Woofie Wednesday

Ollie: Woofs, Everyone! Ollie here! So.... this time around, when #1 is away, things are going to be a little different for me. Mr. G will look after the cats for the duration but he will only look after me for a week? Do you know why? He says I snore so loudly he can't sleep! Moi? Snore?  Anywoof, after my week with Mr. G, I shall spend a few days with Ms. R, #1's local English friend, and then I shall go to Ms. C's to spend a few days with my daughter Lily and that out-of-control girl, Leonie. This is how things generally go over there:

Those two girls pick on me, but it's all in good fun!

We also have a guest woofie today. Momo had to go to Dr. C's yesterday to get his booster shots and Dr. C has a new puppy! She is an old style German shepherd and her name is Asima. She is only four months old and she is cute as a button:

Tama-Chan Tuesday

Tama-Chan: Greetings, Dear Friends. #1 is in full prep mode for her departure on Thursday. We have no idea whether we will be posting whilst she is away, or with what frequency. We will do our best but will probably be quite limited in our commenting. Please forgive us! In the interim, I do have a few good pics for you for today, starting with this nice series of three shots:

#1 is particularly fond of the last shot showing off my green eyes.

As you can see, I remain serious about my dangle training:

Here is something a little unusual, though. I decided to investigate the fireplace:

But let me be honest. One of my favourite places remains right by #1's side when she is  at her computer:

There really is no better to place than next to those you love. I am going to miss #1, even though Mr. G will look after us beautifully, as he always does.

Manly Monday

Momo-Chan: Forget about that "chan" business. Just call me Mighty Mouser Momo!!!

I would like to point out that the two photos were taken on two separate days, with two separate mice (RIPs).

Benny: I too was on mouse duty, but my little bro beat me to them. You should hear him growl once he has caught one!

Ollie: #1 took this nice pic of me in the garden. Do you like it?

The Big V (posting remotely): Neighs EveryFriend! They got me this really cool disguise so I can be incognito! Keeps off those pesky flies too!

#1 says the pink kiss spot gives my identity away!

Wishing everyone a great week!

Snuggles on Sunday

Tama-Chan: Hello, Dear Friends, and welcome to Snuggles on Sunday. I am very pleased to say that we have some horsey snuggles this weekend, so let me start with those.

First we have #1 with Miss Violette:

Followed by Miss Heloise:

Me Next! In the first shot, I was giving #1 a kiss which is why you only see the back of my head.

I do love my #1 and will miss her when she goes away for two weeks from next Thursday.

Here is Ollie giving Benny a bath first thing in the morning:

Next we have a morning scene of Benny and Momo:

Followed by all three brothers:

Wishing you a very Snuggly Sunday,

Sei-Chan's Souvenir Saturday

Rainbow Sei: Greetings from all of us at the Bridge. Here we are again after last week's break. In fact. there will be further breaks for the next two Saturdays as #1 is off to England, so we have tried to find really nice photos for this week.

I thought I would start with me this week. I always enjoyed sitting on #1's desk chair as soon as she had vacated it:

And here is sweet Trav. He is still a little shy but I think he enjoys hanging out with all of us.

#1 really loves this one of Tommy:

And here is Ikkyu, caught unawares as he was having a bath:

Mama Hotesse having a snuggle with #1:

Yuu-Chan having a snuggle with a visitor:

Genji enjoying the cat run:

And Da Beebs sporting his inimitable look:

Last for today is Sen-Chan, "Poupounet" himself!

I'll be back in a few weeks with more photos from our time at Poupounette Central.

V&H Vendredi

Heloise: Youthful neighs, everyone! Heloise here! Yesterday, we got our hooficures and #1 came to be with us and give us lots of apples. The weather wasn't great, but nobody around here is complaining about rain! It makes the grass grow!

The nice farrier. Mr. P, came to get us.

I got done first. It was just a trim so it didn't take very long.

The rain made my coat look really shiny!

And then it was my big Sis  Violette's turn

Until this recent rain, the soil had been really dry and hard, which is tough on the hoof. Here is a pic showing one foot done and one yet to be done. You can see the difference!

And another:

We were both very good girls!

We continue to get regular news of the Big V. He is having a rest at the moment because he has another big wedding at some chateau coming up at the weekend!

Have a great weekend, everyone!
