Tama-Chan Tuesday

Tama-Chan: Here we are... the last day of April! And today is also the day that Japan gets a new Emperor. #1 says she will try to catch some of the ceremonies on NHK World, the Japanese international channel.

The weather is improving again after quite a bit of rain and cool temps. We are hoping that #1 will be able to open the window in the kitchen again soon. In the meantime, we have been going out in the run a bit.

Can you see me? I was in my best camo mode!

Of course, as a mother, I feel the need to supervise my Beebsy boy closely, so I spend quite a bit of time watching over (or under...) him.

So, after a while.... well...

#1 says I looked very cute.

Of course, I also need to devote some time to supervising #1:

And sometimes, well, I just have to take over:

Manly Monday

Vidock: Handsome Neighs, EveryFriend! I thought it was time I headed this post, don't you think? It's too bad I didn't get to go logging that time, but I have been hearing rumours about going out driving soon. I hope it happens!

Hey #1! Did you bring me treats?

She did! And look at this cool head shot of me with Miss Violette in the background!

Da Genj: Can you see me in this photo? I am on the right and you can see my ears! Da Beebs and I were mouse-hunting!

It was tiring and I had to do some serious resting afterwards.

We hang out quite a lot together with Da Beebs:

Da Beebs: Have I mentioned that I love pasta, especially when it's served with Parmesan cheese?

I also like Japanese rice crackers!

Any self-respecting cosmopolitan cat should enjoy fine cuisine from around the world!

Ollie: #1 weighed me a few days ago. I weigh 19kg (42lb!). Se has also taken to calling me Curly Whirly because my coat is becoming very curly!

And guess what? I have fun with the geese over at Ms. C's! They chase me!

I also made a new friend in the field next to the house! Her name is Heloise!

We would like to wish you all a great week.

Snuggles on Sunday

Tama-Chan: Another Sunday, and we are almost in May. It's been cool, with very changeable weather over here. We do miss the window whiffies.

#1 cornered me into a snuggle shot again... I don't now why she doesn't take a photo when I go and snuggle with her, and sit on her laptop!

Next, we have a rater curious 3-way snuggle with #1, Ollie and Da Genj, but doesn't it look like Da Genj is wearing a wig?!

Those three seem to do a lot of joint snuggling. Here is an early morning one:

Ollie went with #1 to a nice restaurant in a nearby village and did some serious snuggling with the owner. This gentleman also owns a couple of restaurants in Boston, if any of you are near or familiar with Boston. They are called "La Voile".

Da Genj also spends a lot of time hanging with his Beebs Bro:

Here is a very soppy one of Da Beebs snuggling with #1:

And the scene most evenings when they are watching TV together:

No V snuggle pics this week, but here is one of the two of them peacefully grazing together:

Sei-Chan's Souvenir Saturday

Rainbow Sei: So here we are, the last weekend of April. We have once again been successful in maintaining the status quo, and we are crossing all paws that May will be the same.

So I went searching for late April photos to share with you today. To start with, here is a sweet one of Tommy and Sen-Chan, from April 2008:, when they were both still very young and before they started blogging

And an April 2006 shot of Ikkyu:

An acrobatic shot of Yuu-Chan from April 2010:

A snoozy shot of me from 2012:

And, last one for today, our Trav in April 2016:

Funny Feline Friday

Genji: Your favourite blue boy here! You know how humans can be so easy for us kitties to entertain? So, last night, #1 was looking at us in the living room and she started chuckling to herself.

This is the view of me and Da Beebs that she was looking at:

I mean, like, she had never seen synchronised grooming before?!

As I said, she is easily entertained.

Thoughtfully Thankful Thursday

Da Beebs: Mee Yow, everyone! As you know, Thursdays are my day for now and I shall make the best of them. Let me start by what I am not at all thankful for: rain!!! After a week of great weather, we have been having rain. #1 says it's good for the garden, but I miss sunpuddles and window whiffies. She has promised that things will improve by the end of the week.

Now for an update on me. I am a skinny boy these days. I have lost about a pound since my return from the hospital, and despite #1's best efforts to feed me delicious foods. I now weigh 3.2kg (7lb). #1 went by Dr. C's today and was able to spend some time chatting with her as she was worried about the ongoing weight loss, but Dr. C told her not to worry too much, and that the most important thing was that I am still perky and participating in life at Poupounette Central. Here is a pic of me hanging out with Da Genj:

In this one, she caught me tucking in to some freshly grated parmiggiano reggiano:

This one was from the weekend, when we still had sun. I think I look rather mysterious, don't you?

Remember that the sacred cats of Egypt were supposed to be Abyssinians!

We want to thank once again our dear friend in Tokyo, Mr. J, who has continued sending delicious foods my way. Here are some tins of 100% tuna white meat made in Japan which is a guarantee of excellent quality. Believe me, they are yummy!

Wednesday Whinnies

Violette: #1 came to see us on Monday. FINALLY! She had not been for ages and I was not pleased. In fact, I gave her the stink eye...

In case you are wondering, that is Tulipe the pony at the front and Sarko the mule at the back. I am sharing my current field with the two of them and that big lump, The Big V. #1 had to really stretch her hand to give me my treats...

And despite my worst efforts, she still managed to take a rather nice photo of me:

TheBig V: Yep, that girl has been in a bit of a funk lately, so I tend to graze at the other of the field. Look how pretty!

And when #1 called me, I of course immediately came over!

Ms. C has been away a lot during the day as she is working with her horses at a local vineyard. Here she is with her mare, Ursula, being supervised (or should I say bothered?) by young Ollie:

Tama-Chan Tuesday

Tama-Chan: I hope you all had a nice holiday weekend, especially those who had a 3-day weekend. We had lovely weather and #1 was mainly home, so it was perfect for us!

I don't have a whole lot of pics to share with you as, these days, #1 tends to mostly take pictures of my Beebs. But there is this fun one of me investigating a nip sardine!

As you know, such things are serious business.

You know that one of my favourite places to nap is the little igloo on the landing. Well, the other day, when #1 came back from outside, she was amused to see this:

I don't see why a girl can't relax in her own bed, dont you agree?

Manly Monday

Ollie: #1 said I could host today's post. As usual, I have lots of exciting things to share with you! To start with my pal Fernant and I playes a great game of tug of stick yesterday!

And I've been spending a lot of time out in the garden with #1:

I've also been enjoying the bluebells

Da Beebs: Mee-Yow everyone! As you can still, I am still around, enjoying the sunpuddles, window whiffies and lots of snuggles with #1, and I sing praise to all of that!

The window whiffies are great this time of year.

And my Mama Tama often keeps me company.

Da Genj: May I present... The Bookend Brothers!

I confess that I hang out quite a bit with Ollie:

Vidock: You remember my mentioning that I might. be going logging last week? Well, it didn''t  happen. Hopefully, some other time In the meantime, I just have this photo to share with you today:
