Feline Friday

Tama-Chan: #1 is coming home tomorrow! We are so excited! Initially, Ollie will be here too but will spend most of his time over at Fernant's, as #1 can't take him out. And next week, he will go to Ms. C's for 10-12 days, until #1 is stabler on her new knee.

We cats will of course take over her nursing. I have been having a talk with this fellow. He is a puppet from Indonesia and they are said to have souls. He has lived with #1 for many years and I think he will bring her good luck.

Da Genj: I will be snuggling with #1 as much as I can as soon as she gets home. As I am very light, I won't be a burden on her!

We will be taking a short break of 2-3 days from blogging when #1 comes home. We will be back with you early next week. Don't forget us!

Thankful Thursday

Genji: We have ben getting more news from #1 and we are very thankful that sh is making a good recovery. She had her first session with a physio less than 24 hours after the operation, and then another one on the same day with a different physio. She will continue with 2 sessions a day until she leaves the hospital (probably) on Saturday. She had quite a lot of pain the first day after the operation but it's much better now. She is in good spirits and enjoying her lovely room:

I am thinking about her and sending lots of purrs:

Rainbow Tommy and Rainbow Beebs are watching over her:

Woofie Wednesday

Ollie: Last Thursday, I went to see Dr. C to have my annual check-up and boosters. She listened to my heart and palpated me all over and then she told #1 " he is incredibly muscled and he has the heart of an athlete".

I still got stuck with a needle!

But I met a pretty girl when I was waiting!

Tama-Chan Tuesday

Tama-Chan: We are preparing this post before #1's surgery. It was scheduled for yesterday afternoon, and we will update as soon as we can.

I am crossing my paws that she will have a swift recovery and can look after us properly!

#1 Update: We heard from #1. Her surgery went well and she is now in recovery mode!

Manly Monday

Ollie: Today is D-Day, or should we say S (for Surgery) Day! #1 is safely ensconced n her hospital room and is scheduled to go under the knife this afternoon. We are in Mr. G's care, so all is OK in our world.

We had a mini session of Camp Ollie on Thursday and Friday and Fernant and I had a great time, as usual:

#1 took this rather nice shot of me:

This week, it's up to Mr. G to take photos!

Genji: I HATE it when #1 isn't here! When she gets back, I am going to be her #1 nurse!!!

Vidock: We don't even know when we'll get to see our #1 next. Come back soon, #1!!!

Snuggles on Sunday

Tama-Chan: This is our last SoS post before #1 goes in for her surgery. By next Sunday, there will be much snuggling as she should be back with us, but there probably won't be a post. So, let's make the most of this one, shall we?

I, Queen Tama, have been snuggling aplenty with #1.

I am told that that some cats do not like their tummies touched, but none of us at Poupounette Central have ever minded! In fact, we love it!

And here is a more unusual one of me actually sitting on #1 to snuggle:

As you know, that position is usually occupied by Genji:

I am never too far away, though! If you are wondering what we were watching, it was an episode of the  new series of "The Supervet". We really like watching it.

Fernant was with us for a couple of days last week, and here is a cute pic of him and Ollie:

You know, don't you, that I am very fond of Fernant? He reminds me of happy times with my Tommy. #1 took this photo. Look at my tail! I have it around Fernant's head!

And one of Ollie and Mr.G from the weekend before:

Mr. G will be looking after this from this afternoon until #1 gets back from hospital.

We have a fun photo of #1 snuggling with the two H girls, Hotesse and Heloise:

#1 didn't manage to get new pics with the Vs, but here are a couple of different ones from the previous week's shoot:

We are not sure at this stage how much we will be able to comment over the coming week. #1 is taking her MacBook with her so it may be that she has lots of time and can comment even more than usual. Then again, it may not. We will see. Please bear with us!

Sei-Chan's Souvenir Saturday

Rainbow Sei: Hello, Dear Friends. #1 is packing her bags to go to the hospital tomorrow afternoon, and we are busy packing as well, or rather Tommy and Da Beebs are. They have  decided that they will watch over #1 at this time. At this stage, we are not at all sure about posting during the hospital stay. It might be feasible and it might not. We will keep you posted.

But let's get on to our photos. #1 was going through some old albums, looking for some horse photos, and she came across these two of me:

This second one is  a bonus as it shows my cute pink pawpads:

But you know what? Sen-Chan had gorgeous pink pawpads too!

As did Yuu-Chan!

Tommy's pawpads were a little bit pink when he was little, but they didn't stay that way!

As you can see here, Ikkyu had the traditional coffee bean pawpads of the ruddy Abyssinian:

As of course did Beebs:

And guess what? Our Trav had the loveliest pale pink pawpads!

I am not sure how this ended up being a Rainbow Pawpad post, but I am quite pleased with it. I hope you are too!

Frootbat and Flying Ears Friday

Genji: It has been a while since we have had an F&FEF post, so here I am with one for you!

To start with, I have two photos of me:

#1's newsish caera is really amazing at close-ups, don't you think? It's an Olympus TG-5.

Here is a side view of Quenn Tama's bats:

As for young Ollie, #1 took the best flying ears shot ever the other day:

It's not just flying ears, it's flying pup!

Thankful Thursday - Ollie's Gotcha Day!

Ollie: Woofs! It's me again! We are in fact a few days late in celebrating my Gotcha Day but never mind. It's the celebration that counts, right?

Let me start with my last view of my parents, Jogger and Maya

Here I am with Ms. A, TOWCB Tommy's breeder, and my breeder, Mr. RH:

And when I got to Poupounette Central, I quickly figured out the safest place to be!

In those early days, I had a buddy to ride with in the car:

My first check-up visit with Dr. C!

I'm going again today for my boosters.

I was pretty cute, don't you think?

I settled in pretty quickly.

Those first months were tough because my bro, Beebs, was so sick, but I quickly started to make lots of friends, with people like Ms. H!

And I grew!

I became more attached to #1 (even if I don't obey her when she calls me...

And I am very thankful to have a loving family and so many friends!

Thanks, Everyone, for being my friends!
