Thankless Thursday With Tama

Tama-Chan: As I did not get my regular Tuesday post this week, #1 said I could host this one. So why am I being thankless instead of being thankful? Well, she is leaving us again! You heard that right. #1 is packing her bags and heading over to England for the first time since this whole pandemic started, and she is going to be gone for almost two whole weeks. This is of course totally unacceptable to me. She says she will be working for over half it, stewarding at something called the Hartpury Festival of Dressage, but what about us? Yes, I know, we will have Mr.G to look after us, but it's just not the same, is it?

I have to confess that I am rather thankful at the arrival of the little white fluffball, even though I hiss at him. Since he has had the run of the house, that Benny boy has been focused on him rather than me, which is an excellent thing. I have therefore had the leisure to concentrate on my dangles.

Although, believe it or not, I have more than once caught little Momo making himself comfortable in MY beddies!

He had better not be there when I want to use them!

Our 14th Blogoversary!

Tama-Chan: Can you believe it? Today, we are celebrating 14 whole years since that very first blog post, in 2008, by Sen-Chan and Tommy. I was not there at the time. In fact. I was not yet born! But I joined the two at the end of October that year, and I have been blogging my whole life! And today, we also celebrate little Momo's threemonthday!

Let us start with a few statistics. We have published 4818 posts since we started. There have been years when we have managed to post every single day, and others not. We have received over 77,000 comments and had over one million hits since we started!

How does one do a post looking back over so many years and so many wonderful souls? When the blog was started, neither Sen-Chan nor Tommy were even a year old! Sen-Chan was only with us for a short time, and it has already been three and a half years since Tommy left. And then, there was Sei-Chan, my beloved sister, Yuu-Chan the Sweet, My son Bibi, Genji the Prince. We get some comfort from knowing they are all together again, along with Ikkyu, #1's first Aby who left the year before the blog started, and Trav, our short-term outdoor feral who also left too young. Suffice to say that we treasure the memory of each and every one of them. They are all still with us, not just in our hearts, but in our house and garden. We will always love them.

IKKYU (1992-2007)

SEN-CHAN (2007-2009)

YUU-CHAN (2009-2010)

SEI-CHAN (2009-2018)

TRAV (2007?-2016)

GENJI (2011-2021)

EBISU, aka DA BEEBS (2010-2019)

TOMMY (2007-2018)

And now to those of us blogging today!

Me, QUEEN TAMA (Born 2008)

OLLIE (Born 2018)

BENKEI, aka BENNY (Born 2020)

MOMOTARŌ aka Momo (Born 2022)

HOTESSE (Born 1995)

VIOLETTE (Born 2009)

VIDOCK aka The Big V (Born 2009)

HELOISE (Born 2017)

Over the years, we have seen so many bloggers come and go, lost so many friends and gained many too. We miss those who are gone almost as much as we miss our own, and we love continuing to share our every day with those of you who still blog. Many have moved entirely to Facebook, but we find something special in the way the blogs connect people. We hope to continue blogging for many years to come. Thank you, all, for your support through tough times, for sharing our joys too, and for making us part of your world and your lives.

Manly Monday

Momo: Hello Friends! How are you all doing? I am feeling peachy! Did I mention that Momo means peach? #1 let me out of jail a few days ago and I get to run around all day, and play with my big bro, Benny!

He and I have a great time together! And sometimes, Queen Tama looks on!

At the beginning, I was really scared of the enormous woofie, Ollie, even though #1 said he is also my brother, but now I realise he is nice!

The Big V: Handsome neighs, everyone! I cannot even imagine anything quite as small as that little peachy boy! Here I am, waiting patiently for #1 to give me some apples:

Wishing you all a good week!

PS: Don't forget to join us tomorrow, when we celebrate our 14th Blogoversary!

Snuggles on Sunday

Tama-Chan: Greetings, Dear Friends, and welcome to our weekly Snuggles on Sunday post. We have a pretty good edition for you today, so let's get to it without further ado.

The first Black and White, or is it Yin Yang snuggles were reported yesterday!

It will take a little while longer to have three-way B&W snuggles, but Benny and Ollie are still snuggling together!

I of course always snuggle with #1!

And so does Benny:

And little Momo is leaning fast:

We have a really nice snuggle pic of #1 with Hotesse this week:

And here is treat time with (L to R) Heloise, Vidock and Violette:

Stupendous Saturday!

Ollie: Woofs, everyone! In a break with regular programming, I am doing today's post, along with my daughter, Lily. The reason is that #1 took a bunch of fun photos of us yesterday, and she wanted to share them with all of you.

My Lily:

"Hey Dad! I can jump over this!"

"Tag, you're it!"

I am so lucky to have such a great daughter! We have the best time together!

Family Friday

Benny: Yesterday was one week since Momo-Chan joined the gang and we celebrated by opening the door of his quarters so he could roam (mostly) freely around the house. He has been exploring and discovering all kinds of things!

The view from the kitchen window!

The big cat tree in the kitchen:

Meeting Queen Tama!

And all three of us together!

We are family!

PS: Ollie folows him around everywhere. It won't be long before Momo-Chan is used to him!

Momo-Chan's Thankful Thursday

Momo-Chan: #1 explained to me that every week on Thursday, we think about the things we hare thankful for. Today is one week since I came to live at Poupounette Central. There have been so many things for me to discover. I am thankful that #1 has given me the time and space to get settled slowly. But more than anything, I am thankful for my super cool big bro, Benny! He has been really nice to me and I love him already!

I love playing with him!

I also have another brother. His name is Ollie and he is huge! I was really scared of him when I first met him, but Benny seems to realy like him so I am following his lead.

I am thankful I came to live here!
