Tama-Chan: Can you believe it? Today, we are celebrating 14 whole years since that very first blog post, in 2008, by Sen-Chan and Tommy. I was not there at the time. In fact. I was not yet born! But I joined the two at the end of October that year, and I have been blogging my whole life! And today, we also celebrate little Momo's threemonthday!
Let us start with a few statistics. We have published 4818 posts since we started. There have been years when we have managed to post every single day, and others not. We have received over 77,000 comments and had over one million hits since we started!
How does one do a post looking back over so many years and so many wonderful souls? When the blog was started, neither Sen-Chan nor Tommy were even a year old! Sen-Chan was only with us for a short time, and it has already been three and a half years since Tommy left. And then, there was Sei-Chan, my beloved sister, Yuu-Chan the Sweet, My son Bibi, Genji the Prince. We get some comfort from knowing they are all together again, along with Ikkyu, #1's first Aby who left the year before the blog started, and Trav, our short-term outdoor feral who also left too young. Suffice to say that we treasure the memory of each and every one of them. They are all still with us, not just in our hearts, but in our house and garden. We will always love them.

Over the years, we have seen so many bloggers come and go, lost so many friends and gained many too. We miss those who are gone almost as much as we miss our own, and we love continuing to share our every day with those of you who still blog. Many have moved entirely to Facebook, but we find something special in the way the blogs connect people. We hope to continue blogging for many years to come. Thank you, all, for your support through tough times, for sharing our joys too, and for making us part of your world and your lives.
