Woofie Wednesday

Ollie: You won't believe what's happened. I can barely believe it myself! My Noelle had two pups!!! To be perfectly honest, I am not at all sure they are mine, as a guy called Buddy was seen more than once in her vicinity at the "wrong/right" time. But never mind, I will happily help raise them, and I am sure my daughter Lily will help me. They are both little girls. They don't yet have names. One of them will be going to Mc. C's sister, Ms. V, and we don't know yet about the other.

Here is Noelle with the still tiny little bundles.

There will of course be more photos as they start to grow.

Pee S: I don't know any more detail on the coming "storm" than Tama but #1 said to say that the weather is not involved, and it should all be very exciting! Mr. G is on standby!

Tama-Chan Tuesday

Tama-Chan: Hello, Dear Friends, and welcome to my weekly post. With the loss of our beautiful Hotesse last week, #1 tells me that I am now the matriarch of the Poupounette Gang. Gulp! Am I going to be called Queen Mother, do you think?

Talking of mothering, that little fluffball is growing like a weed:

I suppose he is OK, as long as he doesn't bother me, but he and Benny can be very rowdy at times!

I have been enjoying the sunpuddles in my favourite scratcher beddie:

I occasionally ask #1 to serve me my meal on the sill at the entrance to the cat run:

#1 took this close-up of my coffee bean toes because she says they are mega-cute:

And to wrap things up for this week, I have, of course, a dangle photo for you!

Someone inquired about the mention of the "calm before the storm" in yesterday's post. All will be revealed in due time, but I can tell you that the wind will start blowing on Friday of next week and will power up to full force on Monday, September 12th, staying that way for an entire week. The horses are involved and that's about all I know for now.

Manly Monday

The Big V: There is a big void here at Ms. C's following the departure of Mama Hotesse for the Bridge last Wednesday. I wanted you all to know that I am taking good care of her two daughters, Violette and Heloise, as is #1.

I have a couple of nice pics for you, taken by #1 of me at work at the weekend:

Ollie: As we spent a lot of time over at Ms. C's last week, I got to see my daughter, Lily, a lot and had fun playing with her:

I was also submitted to a full body shampoo because I had rolled in something divine and covered my entire body in it! I was so sad...

Benny: Here is one of me and my little bro, Momo, dining side by side.

And just look at this great box I found!

Momo: Here I am hanging out with my (very) big bro, Ollie.

And here is a nice portrait of me on our new cat tree. We'll tell you more about it later in the week.

We wish you all a good week. #1 is talking about the calm before the storm. We have no idea what she means.

Snuggles on Sunday: Looking back at Hotesse Snuggles

#1 here. I would like to start with a special thank you to Ingrid at Meezer's Mews and Terriristical Woofs for the beautiful graphic she made in memory of my treasured Hotesse:

Although I first started photographing her in the early 2000s, I did not develop a close bond with Hotesse until 2015, and my first snuggle photos with her date from that period.

This girl was not used to snuggles but she took to them like a duck to water. Here are a few from 2017:

And once little Heloise was born, then the two became my best friends!

I took this one in ate 2019, the day I told her she was now mine (and I hers). She and Heloise stayed in the same field until the spring of 2020, when they moved to Ms. C's.

Here she is shortly after moving to Ms. C's place:

The next couple of years were filled with snuggles!

There have been so many snuggle pics. The last few were taken just a few days before she galloped off, and I love them almost more than all the others:

Hotesse was my neighbour for almost all of her life. I would see her from afar in the late 1990s and early 2000s, without any idea of who she was and what a huge place she would come to hold in my heart. I am so glad that I was able to fill her last few years with love and comfort, and that I still have her two beautiful daughters to snuggle with.

Sadness

#1 here. Today, The Poupounette is in mourning. Yesterday, we lost our matriarch, our treasured Hotesse, at the age of 27. When I wrote yesterday's post, I was hoping that we would have a little more time, but it was not to be. She made it clear that she had reached the end of the road. She galloped off to the Bridge, free of pain, with me whispering to her and stroking her beautiful head. I shall do a tribute to her, but I am still in shock. Please give me a few days.

This photo is from 2012, when she still lived in the field next to the house, and was "only" 17 years old.

Wednesday Whinnies

Hotesse: Hello, lovely people! I want to start by thanking you all for your good wishes. I am managing as well as I can, with help from a number of kind people, starting with Ms. C and another friend, Ms. P.

Look what Ms. C drew on my rump! And that's Ms. P putting soothing antiseptic cream on my sores.

And then yesterday, a gentleman called an osteopath came by, and #1 asked me if he thought he might be able to help me. He said he thought he could, although it would probably be difficult to manipulate my legs too much. So, I got a really wonderful massage!

He said my back was really stiff.

He managed to get me to give him my front right foot, so he could manipulate it:

I feel so lucky that I have so many people to love me and look after me!

Tama-Chan Tuesday

Tama-Chan: We had friends over for lunch on Sunday to help celebrate #1's birthday and, as always, I had a great time! I Like to start early, by helping #1 when se lays the table:

I refused to let young Momo grab all Mr. G's attention!

And in return, Mr. G took this nice portrait of me!

I do tolerate young Momo quite well as long as he doesn't bother me. Here I am on the old cat tree. It has now ben dismantled and finally replaced with our new tree that we'll tell you about later in the week.

I've also been working on a four paw dangle that #1 calls my "Ballerina Pose". Do you like it?
