Manly Monday

Th Big V: As you will see from the subsequent bits, I am by far #1's bestest boy! Jut look at me!

And here is a really fun photo for you! A friend of #1's in the States sent her this photo which he had taken whilst visiting France in June 2009:

That's me on the right, with my Mama, Jessy! I was only about six weeks old. Don't you think I redefine cute?

HouBenny: I really don't know why #1 is so mad at me... I just went out for a little fun in the great outdoors. Several times. You see, I found a way out of the cat run!

When I saw #1, I came over.

especially when I saw that my bro, Ollie, was with her!

Ollie: Woofs! # has it in for me as well, just because I found a way to get under the fence and went for a little run. Twice. She says she is putting an ad in newspapers in Australia and the West Coast of North AND South America, offering me and Benny together  for sale, cheap. Do you believe her?

So, now, I'm not allowed to run around the garden anymore. Until she gets and installs the 100 pegs to hold down and secure the fencing. She says she is really annoyed with both of us, and that The BIg V is the only good boy. He is such a show-off.

Snuggles on Sunday

Tama-Chan: Hello, Dear Friends, and welcome to our weekly snuggle post! This week, let me start in the morning, with the usual scenario, Ollie + Benny on #1's bed:

Benny likes to take care of cleaning up #1 firs thing:

And then he looks cute!

If the boys are morning snugglers, then I am a adytime and evening snuggler. Basically, as soon as #1 sits on the sofa, I am there too!

Sometimes, I do laps...

And sometimes not. It's good to vary the routine!

#1 managed to get snuggle shots with the two sisters, Violette and Heloise (Hotesse stayed away from the mud near the barrier)

But, one gain, the horsey snuggle prize goes to the Big V and the awesome snuggle selfie he took with #1!

Happy Snugling, Everyone!

Sei-Chan's Souvenir Saturday

Rainbow Sei: Hello, Dear Friends. Today, I have just one photo for you. This one:

It is of Tommy and Beebs, taken in late February four years ago, in 2018. Seeing it made #1 feel so sad. At the time, I was still there, as were Tommy, Beebs and Genji. She is sometimes so full of sadness that we are all gone. And, right now, the world is a sad and frightening place for everyone, especially in Europe.

May there be better times ahead.

Thankful Thursday

Benny: I don't have great photos for you today, but I do have a good story. When I first arrived at Poupounette Central and was in quarantine, my absolute favourite toy was the circuit where I could make the ball go round and round. Here is a pic from back then.

After I got out of quarantine jail (and, by the way, I was also operated for my ear polyp at VetRef, just like Ollie!), #1 moved the toy to the upstairs landing and I continued to love playing with it. Then, the ball disappeared. Then #1 found it, and then it disappeared again some weeks ago, and #1 hasn't found it. I would sit next to the toy, looking sad, so #1 started wondering how she could come up with a solution. Then it occurred to her that the ball was probably a standard table tennis ball! So, she went on amazon and ordered a six-pack, which arrived the next day (Thank you, Prime!). And they fit! It's just that the original ball was white and these are yellow. Now, since she got the six balls, three have already disappeared (she suspects that Ollie may have something to do with that...). So now, she hides them, except when she sits on the floor to play with me.

The pics are really not great, but I still LOVE playing with this toy!

When #1 sends it spinning, it goes so fast it becomes a blur!

And here is Ollie moving in for the steal!

I am thankful to #1 for getting those extra balls so I can continue playing!

Wonderful Woofie Wednesday

Ollie: Woofs, Everyone! Ollie here! So here I am to tell you about my visit to the vet on Monday. I had been to see Dr. C twice since my surgery, and she said all was going well, but this was the big "Two month post-surgery" check-up at VetRef, where I was operated. VetRef is one the most highly-rated veterinary referral hospitals in France, specialising in dogs and cats, as well as other small animals. I was operated by the #1 Big Guy, Dr. Haudiquet, and my appointment yesterday was with him.

When we got to VetRef and were in the waiting room, I was so happy to have my pal, Mr. G, with me (Ms. N was there too!):

I was first examined by a young vet who was really nice to me. Her name was Dr. Alexandra Jifcovici. As #1 talked with her, she was hugely excited to learn that Dr.J had spent a whole year interning with the world-famous Dr. Noel Fitzpatrick, the "Supervet", at Fitzpatrick Referrals in the UK. Dr. J said she really enjoyed her experience there!

She pushed and pulled my leg every which way and got #1 to walk me along the corridor before taking X-Rays. Want to see them?

As you can see, I now have some serious metal work in my leg. The plate may eventually be removed, but for now, it stays there.

Afterwards, Dr. Haudiquet, who founded the clinic, came to examine me. He was very pleased with my progress, and he told #1 that she could start by letting me run in the garden for 5-10 minutes a couple of times a day, after I have warmed up properly with a good walk,

So, yesterday...

It was so wonderful! Dr. H and Dr. J both asked #1 for the reference to my blog post, so if they see this, I want to say a huge THANK YOU/MERCI to them, and all the staff at VetRef when I was hospitalised, for looking after me so well!

My next check up will be in 4-5 months. Thanks for your support, friends!

Tama-Chan Tuseday

Tama-Chan: Hello, Dear Friends! I hope you are all well. Thank you for all the kind words about Ollie's check-up. The visit went well and he will tell you all about it in detail tomorrow.

I have had a quiet week, enjoying a lot of cuddle time with #1, and generally making sure that all is well with her. That is, after all, my main job! A queen must look after her subjects!

Supervising mode:

She managed to get some SunBat pics of me!

Supervising and looking cute at the same time:

Which is of course exhausting!

By the way, did I mention that I was the first of the Poupounette Gang to go to the VetRef referral veterinary hospital? It was when I started coughing badly a few years back. They did all kinds of tests and concluded that I had some sort of allergy, so I have been on a tiny daily dose of Prednisone ever since. My Beebs also went there but sadly, they couldn't do anything to help with his bile duct problem. Anyway, Ollie will tell you more about how awesome they are tomorrow.

Manly Monday

Ollie: Woofs, Everyone! Ollie here! May I ask for some good vibes to be sent my way today? #1 and I (along with Ms. N and Mr.G) are off to visit my surgeon today at VetRef, in Angers. If all is well in his mind, then I shall be signed off to resume normal activity. Wouldn't that be awesome? I have been out only on the lead for over eight weeks now!

In the meantime, here are a couple of "on lead" pics of me:

Vidock: When #1 came to visit last week, she decided it was time to give me a good brushing. She said there was so much dust she should have worn one of those maximum protection FFP2 masks!

Here is the before picture:

And the after:

Sorry it's not on the same side but I assure you, she did brush me on both sides!

Benny: #1 says I have cute pawpads...

And here I am just dangling along:

Have a great week, everyone!

Snuggles on Sunday

Tama-Chan: Hello, Dear Friends and welcome to our weekly SoS post! This week, I think I shall start with the horses as we have a full set for once!

Here's a cute selfie of #1 and Hotesse:

And a kiss fromViolette:

One with The Big V. You can see Ollie's beloved Noelle in the background!

And one with Heloise who had another great work week!

I have of course been snuggling with #1:

As has Benny:

And Benny and Ollie always snuggle with each other and #1 in bed in the morning!

Can you see Benny? He is the black blob stuck to Ollie!!!
