Some Snuggles on Sunday

Tama-Chan: #1 has been quite preoccupied with work matters recently and so  we don't have a proper complement of snuggle shots this week. I, of course, have been doing my utmost to help her...

And Benny has been taking care of her in the evenings.

And he and Ollie have been at their usual posts on #1's bed when she wakes up in the morning.

#` did not even get out to see the horses last week. She's hoping to do better next week.

Ollie's Birthday Saturday

#1 here. I can barely believe that we are celebrating Ollie's third birthday today! It is true that time has grown simultaneously longer and shorter in the time of the plague we have lived through. But three years already?

Ollie came to Poupounette Central less than a month after Tommy left. The house was so terribly empty, I just couldn't face it anymore. A breeder not far from here had one boy still available from a litter and so I went to meet him. This is what I found:

The deal was made and I arranged to pick him up a couple of weeks later, as I was about to go and visit a friend in Luxembourg. On the day, Tommy's breeder, Ms. A, came along as I wanted that sense of continuity. Ollie was three months old.

And we got to meet Ollie's parents:

When he came home, Ollie immediately figured out where his place was!

Right from the beginning, Ollie was very different from Tommy, starting with his lack of interest in balls! But one thing he did share with Tommy was an immediate friendship with our neighbour, Fernant:

Because, in normal circumstances, I go away quite a bit, I made sure he became very comfortable with important people such as Mr. G. and Ms. C. He grew in leaps and bounds!

He loved his first trip to the beach:

He has made lots of friends:

He fancies himself a true hunting dog!

And a bit of a horse dog!

And he likes to pose for the camera!

2021 has been a big year for Ollie. He welcomed his new kitty bro, Benny, with open paws:

And he and Noelle became parents!

I was gone for almost three months this summer, and he spent most of that time at Ms. C's, helping to raise his daughter. Fatherhood has made him more mature. And Lily has grown so quickly!

Ollie and Benny are quite the pair!

And he has wormed his way quite successfully into my heart!

HAPPY THIRD BIRTHDAY, OLLIE-POO!

Feline Friday

Benny: Merrrghrrrreow! Your favourite house panther here! I hope you've all had a great week. I got up to serious mischief each and every single day!!!

But today, I wanted to show you that I can dangle with the best of them!

That, by the way, is in our downstairs guest loo. I love to hang out there with #1 when... well, you know...

Thankful Thursday

Ollie: I am thankful that I can now run around the garden as I want, although #1 was pretty cross with me when I managed to get in to the neighbours' garden and didn't come back even though she called and called. I was looking for my pal Fernant, but she said that he's gone for good, and is now with Tommy. I miss him... But I am thankful that he was such a great mentor and pal to me.

Tama-Chan Tuesday

Tama-Chan: I am glad to report that, despite fears to the contrary, we have been continuing to get some decent sunpuddles on a daily basis!

Here is a rather sultry pic that Mr. G took of me when he was last here:

By the way, it's Mr. G's birthday today, so we would all like to say JOYEUX ANNIVERSAIRE, GABRIEL to him! 🎂🎂🎂

And talking of sultry...

Manly Monday

Benny: It is very important to always look your best!

Thanks for the photos, Mr. G!

The Big V: I always look my best!

Ollie: Can there be anything more manly than being a Dad?

Maybe doing a perfect Springer Sprawl?

Snuggles on Sunday

Tama-Chan: Can you believe that we are already three quarters of the way through October? It is definitely getting cooler and we are snuggling even more than usual.

When he came over to celebrate Benny's birthday, Mr. G took some nice shots of #1 and Ollie:

And there is this fun one of me, Ollie and #1:

The other evening, #1 managed to get a shot of me and Benny napping fairly close to one another. And no, it doesn't mean that I'm growing to like him!

Here is Benny again, camped down on #1:

Here is one of #1 being snuggled by Miss Lily:

And by the Big V!

And Ms. N having a snuggle with Ollie:

And that's about it for today's snuggles! Have a lovely Sunday!

Sei-Chan's Solo Souvenir "Seiturday"

Rainbow Sei: Hello everyone. I am sorry that we are rather late in posting today. #1 has been dealing with a work emergency and ran out of time. So, if you don't mind, I shall simply share a few photos of me with you today!

One with #1:

One with Tommy:

And one just me!

Have a great weekend, everyone!

V & H Vendredi

Heloise: Neighs, Everyone. It's been a while! At the moment, I am in a field about 5 minutes drive from my Mama and Sis, with The Big V and Aral. Ms. C doesn't like it when we're not right by the house, but there is a lot of grass still in this field and someone's got to eat it, right?

Last Friday, the farrier came to give us all hooficures and he came over to "do" us right in the field. It was OK because we are just getting trims at the moment, no shoes. And by the way, he told #1 that I have among the best feet he has ever seen!

We were both pretty good for the farrier:

When Vidock was being done, Aral kept a very close watch. She is always terrified that someone will take him away.

Mama Hotesse and Violette were waiting just next to their field:

Violette enjoyed getting cuddles from #1 as she was being done:

Hotesse is the hardest to do as she was seldom done before, and always in stocks. Plus she has arthritis, so it's harder for her to stand on three legs. But she was really good, nonetheless.

She felt a lot better once the long growth had been trimmed away!

So that's us done until mid-December! Next time, it will be next to the house!
