Wednesday Whinnies

Hotesse: Wise neighs, everyone! It has been a while since we posted as #1 wasn't able to com and see us, but she cam yesterday so here we are.

I am currently sharing my field with one boyfriend. He is much younger and his name is Anatole. He is a nice chestnut boy, and he keeps me young! Ms. C left us in this field, because it is right by the house and also the flattest field, so more comfortable for my mature bones.

Violette: Pretty neighs, everyone! The flies are terrible at the moment. #1 would be happy to put fly masks on us but we remove them almost as soon as she puts them on, so we just have to put up with the pesky critters. She did bring lots if yummy apples with herm and that was fun. Here is a fun photo of the three of us. I am at the back, in the shade of the tree where there are fewer flies. The greedy V and H are right at the fence, hoping to get more apples. Of course, #1 is fair and sends lots my way. She has a pretty good aim!

She promised to come back on Friday. Maybe we can even get some snuggle shots for next Sunday!

  1. Nice to see you all again. We have the same problems with flies but most of the horses are pretty good at keeping their masks on.

  4. sorry about the pesky flies, we have huge flies here, green and blue and they swarm every where there are pets, and cover the dog poop instantly. we walk around behind Beau picking it up to keep the flies down. hope you get those snuggles this week, apples are good, snuggles are too

  5. Your mention of flies reminded me of a trip that The Hubby and I took to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan one summer, and the black flies were so bad that we abandoned our trail hike to get back in the car!
