Family Friday

Ollie: Woofs, everyone! Are we the only ones to notice a sharp drop in the number of comments on our blog? Queen Tama was quite miffed when she only got seven comments on Tuesday... We are checking the spam folder regularly and finding some good stuff in there!

Anywoof, #1 has been taking me for walks up the lane and she took this nice pic of me with the bluebells:

The kitty boys were quite excited when #1 bought a couple of simple scratchers snd glued them together to make a really big one.

Here is one of Momo and Ryū waiting for their morning treats. Benny was still in bed!

Queen Tama enjoying a restful moment, with little Ryū not far behind:

On the subject of family, #1 went to visit Vidock's family earlier this week. His Daddy, Orgueil, is a grand old man of 23 but still looks great. You can see where The Big V got his kissing spot from, can't you?

She also saw his older half sister, Sissi, who had the same Mama:

And this is his older half brother, Tom. He has the kissing spot, so they have the same Dad!

  2. Wonderful family photos indeed. Queen Tama's resting picture is the best.

  3. Oh how handsome the horsies are and the kissing spot! Is 23 just mature age and not really old horse years? Ollie, we have some bluebells too, but I think they have different leaves than yours. We've had torrential rains again this week with more than 2 Inches and it is not over. So we can't enjoy the flowers much.

  6. I'm an every day reader but don't comment often ... mostly due to time and I'm in a rush to read and drink coffee .... LOL .... that doesn't mean I don't enjoy every day of your posts!! I will make your comment 1 higher today. smiles here.

  7. I have noticed not only comments are less but so are friends posting. I think many have moved to FB and Twitter turned X... some days comments are half, then up then down. people are busy other places I think.
love all the kissing spots and all the horses are magnificent. my husbands daughter rescues horses over the age of 20, the ones that can't be ridden any longer, I think I remember the oldest was 26.. good idea building your own size large scratcher

  8. Oh my - all these awesome pictures - but of course the BESTEST would belong to OLLIE & The BLUEbelles!

My #1 marvels when she looks back on the old blogging days and comments on NAK's post there were times when she would get close to 100 - but as MadSnapper mentioned, many are now sharing via FB and 'twitter' which we refuse to use - and even deleted from our stuff -

AND my #1 still blames the death of Google Reader - she used to love and utilize that!

    Once again, OLLIE!!! *SWOON!*

    H&K&W,
    Willow

  9. It is good to see everyone looking so happy and beautiful! Bluebells just seem to mean springtime. Tama-Chan is so beautiful, and her kitten friends are very gorgeous, too! It is nice to see old friends, like Vidok’s family. Linda

  11. Java Bean: "Ayyy, we don't know what it is with the spam folder! We have old friends like Rosy & Sunny and every time they comment it goes in the spam folder and we rescue it. You would think Wordpress would get a clue!"
Lulu: "You would think, but no. Anyway, Ollie, that tall grass looks like a fantastic spot for sniffing, and possibly rolling around in!"
Charlee: "You dogs have fun with that. We cats will busy ourselves helping out with the scratchers and the eating treats in bed."

  13. I agree with MadSnapper. At one time there were at least 50-60 new postings in my Reader. Now they sometimes struggle to reach 20. My comments are struggling to get to the 30 mark which might sound a lot, but that is because I only post once a week. At one time 50 wasn't a problem, then 40. Soon I will be lucky to reach 20 but I have no interest in other social media sites.
The photos of Vidock's family are lovely, and so is Ollie in the bluebells.

  14. Nice pics! That was smart of #1 to put the scratchers together to make a bigger one.

I live in the Seattle Washington United States area. Please keep up your great blog. I especially love seeing the pictures of your lovely horses.

  17. Well, we can't complain about comments since we have been very remiss in posting, but we were overwhelmed with all the comments we got for dear Lightning. Ollie, you look stunning there with all the bluebells. And the kitties are having fun with that big scratcher. Handsome family of horses too
