Ryū-Chan: The weather forecast for this weekend is not very clear. There's talk of rain, thunder, some sunpuddles... It could be anything really. I do love a good sunpuddle!

Violette: Pretty Neighs, Everyone! and Happy Month of May! We continue to enjoy our wonderful new field, and #1 comes to visit a couple of times a week, bringing apples and carrots. She also give us wonderful brushies and checks us all over for those nasty bitey ticks that make life unpleasant this time of year. Ollie Woofie comes with her and does a fair share of supervising!
Here he is with me:
#1 here again. Do you remember the little girl cat who had been abandoned last autumn in one of the fields near our house, whom I fed for a while before she was eventually adopted by my neighbours? Her name is Phoebe and she has settled in so well. I managed to catch a nice portrait of her the other day. She is just the prettiest thing!
Some of you will need to look away for these next photos, but I am thankful that I managed to save this gorgeous little adder from the clutches of three pussycats who thought he made the perfect toy.
#1 here. This morning, I received a couple of short videos and a photo of little Noura and wanted to share them with you. She is currently with an English foster family in Beirut and her foster mum, Phoebe, says she is quite a character, very sociable and outgoing! She also has the most amazing frootbats!
Momo-Chan: Hello! Fluff Puff here! So nice to see you all for our weekly round up of us boys! I hear rumours that a new girl will be coming our way soon. That is very exciting.!And #1 tells me that many of you have been helping make that happen. You're awesome!
I though I would start with myself for a change this week. #1 caught me when I was enjoying that catnip ball:
And one of him at rest in a sunpuddle:
Benny The Black: Hello everyone, and welcome to our weekly sungglefest here at Poupounette Central and beyond. Today I would like to start with my bro, "Fluff Puff" Momo who was caught on camera in a major snuggle with woofie Ollie:
Benny The Black: OK, #1. I read through the manual, and I am sorry to say that I couldn't understand the instructions either. Did you try MewTube?
Philomena: Cute neighs everyone! Remember me? I had my first birthday on April 21st and #1 came to bring me some birthday carrots and apples. They were most welcome! My pal Phileas and I were wrenched from our mamas a little while ago. Apparently, the humans call it weaning. Anyneigh, it was really good to get some extra treats. #1 says I look more stunning every time she sees me!

Rainbow Queen Tama: Greetings everyone. I realise I have fallen a tad behind in my autobiography, but that will be remedied over the coming weeks. I whispered in #1's ears that it was important for me to be involved in this new project. As you know, Poupounette Central has been without a Queen since my departure for the Bridge. Those rowdy boys have no one to teach manners and how to be civilised in general! Something had to be done!
It may come as a surprise to some of you to learn that our #1 was born in Beirut, Lebanon, and spent her childhood there. She lived in a lovely old house facing the sea. Her heart has been breaking at the news lately, especially when she read that the very neighbourhood and street where she lived had been bombed.
She has followed for a while an amazing rescue organisation called Animals Lebanon. They try to help as many animals as they can, cats and dogs of course, but they have even saved lion cubs! #1 had been pondering adopting the next queen through them but was hesitating due to the costs this would entail, as she has not exactly been flush of late. But then she saw a video that showed the people at Animals Lebanon pulling a tiny month-old kitten out of the rubble of the building that had been destroyed by the bomb. Her heart stopped. She knew there and then that here was the new queen of the Poupounette. So, she contacted Animals Lebanon and asked them about adopting her
It will take between three and four months until the kitten is ready to travel. She is currently in a foster home. They have named her NOURA, which means bright/radiant. She has the most adorable coat that looks like it's been made up of odds and ends.
We wanted to mention also that Animals Lebanon works with Tabby's Place, that some of you will be familiar with in the United States, especially to place special needs cats.
So, we are starting a GoFundMe campaign to help us raise the funds necessary to arrange for all the tests and shots Noura needs, as well as organise the necessary paperwork and her travels. The GoFundMe page can be found here: https://gofund.me/8a2b22f9c
We know that many people are struggling in the current economic environment, so please don't feel bad if you can't help. Moral support will also be much appreciated!
You will find the video of her rescue on the GoFundMe page. Here are a few photos of little Noura:
Ollie: Woofs everyone! Ollie here! Yesterday morning, I bumped into my pal Jarrod on my walk. We always have a great time together.
#1 here. This is the time of year when my "Kanzan" Japanese cherry tree blooms, and of course it brings to mind my Tommy and my Beebs who are buried next to one another at the foot of the tree. It has been more than seven years since Tommy ran off to the Bridge, followed five months later by Beebs. I put a post about all of this on Facebook, but wanted to share it on the blog as well.
