Saturday Sign

Benny: Guess what? We actually got sunpuddles yesterday! It was amazing! #1 and Ollie went out for a long walk in the morning, and they came across this wonderful sight at the little manor house next to where Heloise was born:

Isn't it just gorgeous? There is a very famous weathervane maker in a village not far from us. #1 has long thought it would be nice to have one. He makes them to order, so it could be horses, dogs and cats! But they are pretty expensive and #1 says it's more important to buy us good food!

And here is a pic of me enjoying the sunshine!

By the way, we have been abandoned again. #1 has gone off to Paree. She is staying with cousins for a couple of nights and on Sunday night, some friends from Chicago who are overnighting in Paris on their way back from vacation are taking her to dinner in a really fancy restaurant. Mr. G will of course be looking after us and #1 should be back around lunchtime on Monday.

We also learned late yesterday that our buddy Ernie from The Island Cats had gone to the Bridge. He had fought illness valiantly for many years, but his time was up. We hope he is reunited with Wally and Zoey. Run Free, Dear Friend, and our condolences to his family.

  7. I agree, that's such a cool weather vane. I'm so glad you all got to enjoy some sunshine. Tell #1 to be safe, it doesn't look too happy in Paris right now. We're so sad about dear Ernie, sad, sad, sad.

  8. If #1 commissioned a weathervane it would have to be a stack of a horse on the bottom, then a dog and then a cat. We hope #1 has fun in Paree with her friends and family.
