Rainbow Sei: You know how it is, Dear Friends. We always welcome newcomers warmly here at the Bridge but also always wish they had stayed a little longer with their families. We know the pain and grieving their departure causes, and wish there was some way we could soften it.
This week, we are dedicating our post to an old friend who came to join us yesterday evening. He was the long-time companion of a dear friend of #1's, Ms. M. His name was LAPIN, which means rabbit in French. Lapin was a pure white kitty who ended up at a shelter when he was just four years old. He chose Ms. M when she came to the shelter and walked right into the carrier. Once at home, he lived entirely by his own rules and wasn't beyond giving his adoring person a good scratch or three. He was a gourmet with a particular fondness for crepes (thin French pancakes). He was Ms. M's world. But the years finally caught up with him and she had to say goodbye to him yesterday, at the grand old age of 19. We share Ms. M's pain. #1 had the privilege of knowing Lapin in person. We have welcomed him warmly and he will be well looked after here.
So, here are some pictures of Lapin, to remember him by:
