Tama-Chan Tuesday

Tama-Chan: Greetings, Dear Friends. As I have already mentioned, #1 left for Paris by the early(ish) train and won't be back until tomorrow afternoon or evening. Aside from seeing her eye surgeon, she will also eat out and go to the movies with one of her cousins who will put her up tonight. I suppose she does need airing out occasionally...

This is what I am left with.

Ah well, he has a new toy that's been keeping him busy. You'll hear about it on Thursday.

I've been practicing my sultry look:

And spending some pillow time with #1:

#1 tells me we will have visitors for several days next week, and they love cats, have one of their own, so lots of cuddles in perspective!

Manly Monday

Ollie: I am in #1's bad books at the moment, although I am not sure what that means, exactly. She was not, for some reason, pleased that she had to give me a shampoo three times ove the past week because I had rolled repeatedly in something she calls unspeakable. She says that, if I want to sleep on her bed, that is absolutely not on! I am frustrated... I thought it smelled divine!

Here are a couple of nice pics of me:

Benny: I present... Da Fangs!

And also my sweet side...

The Big V: All my sides are sweet...

PS: To all our friends who have been worried about the sudden disappearance of Da Phenny and Da Nelly from Easy Blog, a friend who lives close to them went to their house today, and they are fine! They have no Internet. Huge thanks go to Ness for driving over!

Snuggles on Sunday

Tama-Chan: Hello, Dear Friends, and welcome to SoS! After that bumper crop of photos last week, we have not done as well this week, but we'll try to pull something together.

Here, to start with, is a close-up selfie of me and #1:

And here I am again, giving #1 some loving on the sofa:

Next is Benny, snuggled up to #1 in bed:

And snuggled up to Ollie in bed!

As for the horses, #1 was only able to get a good shot with Hotesse this week, but that in itself is a wonderful thing!

We wish you all a very snuggly Sunday!

Sei-Chan's Souvenir Saturday - 3 Years Already

Rainbow Sei: This past week marked the third anniversary of Da Beebs coming to join us at the Bridge. Where do the years go? Da Beebs fell gravely ill shortly after Tommy left for the Bridge, and #1 is convinced that this triggered a latent condition in him and ultimately led to his death. Da Beebs, having been born and raised at Poupounette Central, was precious among the precious and all of us know how much he is missed by #1. I thought it would be nice to share a few photos of him in today's post, including some from his last couple of months at Poupounette Central.

Let's start with him when he was still full of beans, or is that "full of Beebs"?

And then he got sick... Investigating the hospital suite:

And then, he was gone. And things have not been the same since that terrible day. But his resting place is beautiful. He lies next to his buddy, Tommy, under the Japanese cherry tree.

Family Friday With Hotesse

Hotesse: Wise neighs, everyone. I hope this finds you well. I am well, other than being bitten by all kinds of little critters that are very itchy. Ms. C makes sure I get lots of soothing cream!

As you know, I share my life these days with two of my daughters, Violette and Heloise. Over my years as a broodmare, however, I had ten foals in all. It is a particular treat when I get news of some of them or their descendants.

My third foal was a girl called Neva. She was born in 2001. Ever since she has been weaned, she has lived, with her older sister, Mignonne, with a very nice man called Mr. SL and his family. One of Neva's foals is a boy called Usky de Yevres, born in 2008. Mr. SL brought him and another Percheron from his farm to an event earlier this week. These photos were taken by our friend. Mr. P and we thank them for their use.

Here is Usky. As you can see, he is a very chunky boy!

#1 already knew that Usky was my grandson, but she looked into the other Percheron who was there that day, a three year old filly called Joyeuse de Yevres. Well, it turned out that Joyeuse is my great-great-grand-daughter! Isn't that super cool? She is in fact my Neva's great-grand-filly!

Here she is with Mr. SL

Isn't she a pretty little thing?

And here are the two of them:

Not many Percheron broodmares get to have news of their great-great-grandchildren! I am a lucky girl!

And talking of family, #1 tells me that this little critter is also part of my family! Isn't that just amazing? I am told he is called Ollie.

Thankful Thursday

Tama-Chan: I am thankful, Dear Friends, because #1 is back with us after being away for  couple of days, and despite the fact that she is going on another overnight trip next week. You take what you can get, right? #1 is pretty busy with work at the moment, which is a good thing as that means more yummy foods and more treats for us!

Wordless(ish) Wednesday

A few shots from #1's work day yesterday. Someone's got to do it, right?

Tama-Chan Tuesday

Tama-Chan: I don't think we mentioned that #1 is gone again, did we? Well, it's just a quickie this time. She left early afternoon yesterday and should be back late afternoon today. She is doing some interviews for an article she is writing, and prospecting some hotels for the British Equestrian Federation.

I am so glad I did not go anywhere near the kitchen when that scamp was up to his "exploit." How gross was that?

Here is a nice shot of me doing a single dangle in a sunpuddle on one of the little cat trees:

Looking cute for #1:

And catching up on beauty sleep:

I think I'll do that until #1 gets back, so I am wide awake for my snuggles with her!

Manly Monday

Vidock: Handsome Neighs, EveryFriend! I would like to wish you all an excellent week. Here are a couple of pics of me and my #1 girl, Heloise, to help you get off to a good start!

Oh, and if you are at all squeamish, my advice is NOT to scroll down to the end of this post. You do NOT want to see Benny's contribution this week. No, no, no, NO!

Ollie: Here are a couple of pics of me and my girls, with a guest appearances by The Big V and Heloise!

Benny: Just call me BENNY, THE MIGHTY HUNTER!!! Yesterday afternoon, #1 heard a bunch of noises coming from the kitchen and thought I might be up to something, so she came to check, and this is what she saw!

Are you screaming yet? I was very disappointed that #1 didn't scream... Not even a whimper. In case, you are wondering, it's a grass snake and completely harmless. The long, thin tail, and the round pupils are the two indications. Anyway, she wondered if it was dead or just playing dead. She went to get a bucket, gloves and a spade and scooped it into the bucker and took it to the back of the garden where she put it in a woodpile. When she went back several hours later, it was gone. She took it away from me but at least she recorded my exploit so I could share it with you!

Snuggles on Sunday

Tama-Chan: The week has gone by in a flash, Dear Friends, almost as fast as the month of May has been going! There have been lots of snuggles, as usual, and it is always a pleasure to share some of the best with all of you.

#1 and Ollie took this rather fun snuggle selfie one morning in bed:

And here she is with Benny:

Here I am, enjoying an early morning snuggle with her:

And an evening snuggle too!

Lately, Benny has taken to sleeping curled around #1's arm:

We've had another good week in taking horse snuggle pics! For a start, here is #1 having a snuggle with Hotesse:

A sweet snuggle with The Big V:

A selfie with Miss Violette:

And finally, a proper snuggle pic with Miss Heloise!

Wishing you all a very snuggly Sunday!
