#1: Given all the comments to our last few posts, I decided that the time had come to "let the cat out of the bag" on this one. So, yes, little "Sir" will, we hope, join our family soon! He is still only 5 weeks old and has not yet had his shots, so for now, he is going to be staying in his own quarters with his Mama, Viña del Mar, and me running in and out to meet their every need. He should be ready to make the acquaintance of Tommy and Tama-Chan by the end of the month. It is both a treat and a privilege to have the opportunity to watch such a small kitten grow and develop, and learn new things every day. He is very curious, lively and also very affectionate!
Playing with a toy and the camera strap simultaneously
But hanging out with his Mama is still the best thing for now!
There is more fun stuff to tell you about him, starting with his name, but we will leave all that until he is a full member of the family. In the meantime, let's continue to call him "Sir" and enjoy his antics. He is already very fond of THoE!
Well hello little "Red", I'm your big fur brother Ramses and as such you had better not expect me to call you "Sir"! If you try and insist on that I shall insist that you call me Champion Myleenus Sir Lynxalot, rather than my informal, pet name of Ramses!
ReplyDeleteNow that we have that straight, I'd like to thank you, Tama-Chan and Tommy for our lovely surprise present! :) We all love it and are very excited about many of the toys, but are being good and will wait for a few weeks to open most of them so that the kittens also get to join in the fun. However Tigmut'hep has run off with the Matatabi and is in drug induces raptures over it! ;) Look we're ashamed of his behaviour too, but it's something we've grown to accept... He just can't help himself it seems! ;)
Purrs from all here to all there! :)

PS: BG and LG both think you're mighty cute, but don't let it go to your head little "Red" :)
It is wonderful that he is going to join the team. And he's a sorrel like Sen-Chan! Will he be staying from now on or does he have to go back and return?
ReplyDeletePurrs, Siena & Chilli
P.S.: How do you say "little red" in Japanese? ; )
I am glad little "Sir" will be staying. He seems like a nice chap.
ReplyDeleteSlobbers,
Mango
There isn't really a good way of saying "Little Red" in Japanese (maybe because there are no natural redheads there!). But, if you like, you can just call him "Chibi" ("little one") until his name is revealed!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, he is staying here for good! He and Viña really seem to like their quarters!
Can we beleive little "Sir" never comes back home?
ReplyDeleteTell Viña she has to come back one day....
Sound you have nice hollidays!

AWWWWWWW! How nice that little Red, Sir, Chibi, etc. will have a chance to settle in before he joins the household. I hope both Tom and Tama-Chan will be thrilled about having a little brother. He certainly looks cute cute cute!

H-Mom can't help it. Little SIR is very very cute. She might even be making that silly-cat-lover noise too in a minute. We guess she is a softy at heart, huh?
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!! That is so excited! I am looking forward to watching little Sir grow!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Now you will both have to put up with a baby brother just like I do. I hope he doesn't try to take over the house. Sir looks like a pretty confident little guy.
