So, to pass the time of day, here a few shots taken in the past week or two, with a little taste of autumn in the Perche:
That shot taken yesterday afternoon. I have known Romeo, the Percheron pulling the carriage I was in, since he was about a week old, so it was a real pleasure to feel his strength as he trotted happily in the sun. By the way, that's his mum pulling the carriage in front!
We have nothing here like the flamboyant colours that are seen in parts of North America, but there is still plenty of autumnal beauty to admire:
We are almost (almost..!) as excited as you are about the new arrivial!
ReplyDeleteOur autumn has unromantically faded to brown here...
Purrs,

That is very cool that you ride in a horse drawn carriage!
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are beautiful.
Thank you very much for sharing them!
I hope the day passes quickly for you!

She is coming TODAY!? Woohoo! I cannot wait to learn all about her.
ReplyDeleteIdyllic! I saw some horses pulling carriages on Saturday, but they were in Central Park, avoiding taxi cabs, rollerbladers and cyclists, and hauling around lots of tourists! Your ride looks much more fun.
ReplyDeleteYour pal,
Petey
Those sure are pretty fall pictures! We sure hope the new kitten is there and you're getting along well.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your support for the LL today, we know you understand how people really can get hurt around horses if they don't know anything.

Hi Tom and Sen,
ReplyDeleteI found your blog and wanted to say hello. I live with 4 kitties!! You guys really seem to get along! I can't wait to hear about the new addition. We just had a new addition recently come into our house-she's a little devil!! But she has really added life to the older boy kitties!!
It was really nice to meet you!! And mom and I think the leaf colors are beautiful-we don't get any of that here in California. Where in France do you live? Mom was born in Orleans.
