It Would Have been...

... Tommy's 12th birthday today... And it is mine too (not the 12th though!). For 11 years, we celebrated our birthdays together, often at Tommy's birth home. I cannot believe that he is no longer with me, and I miss him with every fibre of my body, every single day. But this year, once again, I have come to Tommy's birth home, to celebrate the day with his three sisters, Sophie, Lydia, and Elsie, and with newbies Georgie and Ollie. Life must go on, despite the burden of sadness. Here are photos of Tommy on all the birthdays we celebrated together:

August 21st will never again be the same without you, my sweet Tommy, but we will all raise a glass of Champagne in your memory, and distribute lots of treats! And play ball! I can often feel your guiding paw in Ollie. Thank you.

  11. Thinking of you and Tommy on your birthdays. Life does go on, but we still fiercely love those who are not physically with us.
