A Wonderful New Toy!

Tama-Chan: Now that I've been here for over a month and have realised that Sen-Chan is not a Big Red Monster but my sweet and loving brother, I have been doing quite a bit of exploring and, yesterday, I found a wonderful new toy!

I started investigating under the benevolent eye of my big brother...

there was this scritchy bit in the middle...

And a groove with ball in it...

I could head butt the ball...

or whap it with my paw...

It went round and round. Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee..................

Tom: The sun is finally out after days and days and days of rain. The fields are still soggy but it was great to be out. #1 and I first played Frisbee on the big lawn behind the house, and then we moved to the field behind, with all the reeds. We played for almost three quarters of an hour and when she started down the lane, back towards the house, I tried very hard to convince her to come into the big field for yet another game:

Even though I looked at her pleadingly, she said we had to get back.

So now I am going to have to wait several whole hours until my next Frisbee game. Sniff...

  1. Cats are funny. You can entertain them with the simplest things. Madison would just jump on it, chew it, mangle it, destroy it and then look for something else! Dogs ...

  2. Ahh, Sen and Tam, I have a toy very similar but with a toy mouse instead of a tennis ball. It's battery operated and the mouse races around the circle. It was advertised as "the greatest cat toy ever" so I decided I'd show them and completely ignore it. My favorite toy continues to be my fishing pole with the bit of fluff at the end. It's especially fun to drag onto Mommy's bed in the dead of night!

  3. Tom,

You look like you had a great frisbee game. I don't think that little cat toy looks that exciting but cats have different interests than we do I guess.

  5. Isn't that roundy-round ball-y thing funny, Tama? You can't ever catch it, and it always goes 'round..and it never gets dizzy, although I do!

  6. Tama, I'm so glad that you have learnt that Sen-Chan is a good and loving brother at last! :) He is after all a loving mancat and was very worried that you didn't like him for a little bit. Your new toy looks great, but remember to share your toys with your bother like a good girlycat and I'll let you come and look at my kittens when I have them! :)

  7. That is an interesting toy, Tama-Chan. I think it would only frustrate me as the only kind of ball I like is the kind that are thrown for me to retrieve. I'm glad that the weather finally improved for you, Tom. It's been soggy weather for a few days over in the Azores, but today is a day of blue skies and calm seas so I'm off to bask in the sun!

  9. The French version of the track ball has an added element - a fev-ver in the center that ours did not have! Lucky princess, Tama-Chan! We knew it would not take long for you to discover the perks of having a big brother like Sen-Chan! Poor, poor, Tom. Waiting, waiting, always waiting!

  17. Tama-Chan, what a brilliant new toy you have there, you are going to drive your humans bonkers with it, this is a very good thing. Hours of entertainment with the new toy, then more hours of fun watching the humans unravel! Tee hee.

Tom, poor Tom, I would come over and play chase with you in the field. I'm not too good at throwing frisbees, but I love playing with dogs.
