Bonding

Sen-Chan: I did ask myself a few questions when  our little princess first arrived and constantly hissed at me, screaming every time I reached a paw out to her, but it looks she is getting over herself and may turn into an excellent playmate!

Even though she is still very little, Tama-Chan seems to have quite the hunting instinct, so when we heard a strange noise coming from behind one of the kitchen cabinets...

We decided to spread out...

She called me over to check something out...

We waited an waited, but all we caught in the end was a piece of straw. Good training for the little girl, though!

Tama-Chan: Since we didn't catch a mousie with Big Red this time, I decided to go for my toy instead!

Big Red said it was important to train!

Tom: The others have been busy hunting imaginary prey whereas I have been braving the outdoors and chasing very real sticks!

And I ALWAYS get my stick!!!

  1. Hi Tom,

What is a little bit of straw compared to a nice big stick? You look great running with it. I'm glad to see that Sen-chan and Tama-chan are getting along and working together. Maybe next time they will catch something more interesting.

Good job, Tom! You know what? I sometimes bring back little soft balls my human throws for me. But of course only sporadically!

  13. It is very important to learn to hunt straw. Sticks are big straws Tom, it takes a good dog to get them every time!

  14. We have visions of a little windup mousie that your humans could set loose in the kitchen. What fun that would be!

  17. hi Tom, we're glad to see Tama and Sen-Chan getting along better. we know they will be best pals in no time. of course, dogs do the best hunting - sticks are much more fun to hunt that a little piece of straw.
