Tried and True... With a Twist

Tom: As you know, I go most days with #1 to run in one or other (or both!) of the big fields near the house. Madrac, my doggie auntie from next door, often comes with us, and sometimes Ms. A brings my friend Pie. But yesterday, Ms. A came with not just Pie, but also Pam and Plume, two yellow labs that were staying with her! So, there were FIVE of us romping in the field, under the bluest sky. It was HUGE FUN! #1 didn't manage to catch us all in a good shot, but here are 4 of us walking along with Ms.A:

Can you feel the awe in my paws as I'm looking up at them?!

Sen-Chan: As for me, I decided that the best way to deal with the recent stress was to engage in familiar activities. So I helped #1 with work and blogging:

and cuddled with my little brother Tommy:

and I indulged this afternoon in my passion for climbing tall trees:

I consider this to be a seriously mancatly activity. We will not, however, be discussing  the ladder that #1 had to bring around to "aid and abet" my descent...

Tama-Chan: I haven't tried most things yet, but I am certainly being true to myself in still growling at Big Red. I have to say, though, that we had some serious fun this afternoon chasing each other under eaves behind bookshelves! I needed some quiet time after that!

  5. Sen, Tama, and Tom, you were the only ones who understood the point of my post today-Payback for no gifts! And that's just round #1!

You all looked as if you were having great fun in the field..having friends over is great, eh? (that's what they say in Canada). And all you gatos in your sombreros could not have spent the day in better fashion.

  6. That is certainly a beautiful day you had outside, Tom. And Sen-Chan, you really look strong, climbing up that tree. Isis is a lucky gal!

Tama, even we growl and hiss on occasion still, but truth be told, we do it for the fun. We just get so excited!

Sen-Chan, you are a good man cat to be helping your Momma, but you make me giggle when I read about your tree climbing! It makes the Momma shiver hehe

  10. Tom, What wonderful fun that must have been playing in the field with so many big, friendly woofies. Sen-Chan, That was very sweet of you to "pretend" like you needed help descending from the tree so that #1 would have an excuse to climb too. You are so thoughtful!

  11. Oh Tama you shouldn't growl at Big Red, he's the sweetest mancat I know, well other than my own dear brother Ramses, who let me play "Mummy cat's and 'ickle baby kittens" with him all the time when I was a baby myself! It's a great game you know... You force your bother to lay down wash him just like a good Mummy cat would and once they're well and truly soggy and clean you let them sleep it off! Oh yes a great game for any little girlycat to play with her own big brother... :) Well you know mancats never wash their ears properly! ;)

As for you my sweet Sen-Chan, do be careful climbing those big trees. I don't want to hear that the local fire brigade has had to rescue you! ;) Climbing the walls in my run is far safer and if your fast and the wind is blowing just right you can catch a bit of bamboo if your fast! :) I'm sure you'd be a great climber just like Ramses and me. Plus I have yummy treats after a good climb! :)

    Purrs and kitty kisses,
    Isis

  12. We're glad you're happy with our new President as well! Because if that other fellow had won, we were planning on packing our bags and moving in with you! (Wonder how la princesse would do with TWO big male Aby brothers and a scruffy terrier?)

Ahhh, Mommy doesn't have to pretend to be Canadian when she visits Paris anymore!

    Your pals,

    Petey and Mica

  13. A ladder? That's a great idea. I think that's very mancatly! My mom had to wait an hour once for me to find my way down...

Don't worry, I'm all fine again (but don't tell it to my mom). I had hurt my eye and had to go to the emergency vet as my mom couldn't & wouldn't judge how bad it actually was. They gave me an injection! And eye drops for the rest of the week. I was fine on the next day already but my mom is still spoiling me, which is very nice of course. I'm napping loads and having a time-out from the pawparazzi. Purrs, Siena
P.S. I'm almost jealous of you Tom, being able to play with so many friends. You are one lucky dog! Please give some noselicks to Tama-Chan.
