Tommy's Metcha Day & Window Kitties

Tom: On this day one year ago, my fate was sealed! #1 and her friend, Ms.A (Pie's mum!) came to where I was living, looking for a puppy. There were so many of us, running riot around the kitchen, that #1 says it took her a whole hour to even begin to tell us apart! And then there is the fact that she wanted a female puppy... I have a couple of very pretty sisters but the breeders kept telling her that I was the pick of the litter because I was sweet, very eager to please, never tried to run away, and looked after my sisters. Still, she hesitated... and I was a very shy little boy so I didn't strut about to try to convince her. I decided that she would pick me and that was that, and she did!

Here I am with some of my siblings:

I am the one with my nose against the green chair!

I am the one in the middle!

This is my mummy, Minnie

and this is the very first time I looked into #1's eyes...

I wasn't yet quite ready to leave, so #1 didn't take me home with her that day. This means we will be celebrating my Gotcha Day soon!

Sen-Chan: It is a beautiful autumn day today and  since #1 is not letting me out because I have an upper respiratory infection ( I have been on medication for three days and am much better already!), I have been enjoying the view from the study window:

You should know that one of our bird feeders is right outside that window, so the view is truly fabulous!

Tama-Chan: I have selected the window in one of the spare bedrooms. There is a fly just outside and I could watch it for hours (except when I pose for photos!)...

  1. It's nice when you have a sister to play with, even if she likes to bring wet grapes leaves in and put them in your bed! Isis assures me that they are gifts... ;) I'm also glad to hear that you're getting over your Upper Respiratory Infection Sen-Chan, can't have a fellow sorrel feeling off colour! ;)

  3. Tom, your baby photos are such a treat! You did a good job convincing #1 to take you. (How funny: my human wanted a mancat and I did the same like you. Here I am!)
Sen-Chan, it's easy to catch a cold with this unstable weather. Make sure you get lots of extra care and cuddles. Get well soon!
P.S.: I will tell my mom to get me a bird feeder, too!
Tama-Chan, flies are much fun. I have quite a history of eliminating them. The neighbours laugh at me 'cos I am so keen on insects of every kind. Beware of bees though, they can get nasty!
Loving purrs to you all the way from Norway,
    Siena

  5. I must admit that you look very boppable in those puppy-pictures, Tom. Mom, on the other hand, is over here having a squee-fest and saying words like "puppyi breath". Blech.

Sen, I didn't know you were ill, buddy. I'm glad the medicine is working and you're feeling better! Tama, you're just cute!

  6. Sen-Chan I'm willing to offer myself as your body double, when Uncle U wants to give you a good grooming! I just love a good grooming, 2 - 3 times a day is best by me. Isis is a little like this too and may be able to offer Tama the same service! ;) In the meantime I've been ordered to pass on kisses and purrs from her to you!

  8. Tom: I like that Gotcha Day. Thanks for sending good wishes on mine yesterday. You were such a cute snuggly little pup and I love the photos of your litter in the tub.

Sen: Please get better. Are you allergic to the moldy leaves that are falling?

Tom: Make sure you keep that fly on your radar!

  14. Tom, you are the definition of the phrase "Cute as a speckled pup!" Who could resist those dreamy eyes? Glad to hear Sen is feeling better. Mica's curled up on Mommy's arm as she types this for us and envies your view of a bird feeder. He only occasionally gets to practice his hunting prowess when an unassuming bird lands in the trees outside our windows.

And you're both doing a marvelous job teaching La Petite how to work the camera!

    Your pals,

    Petey and Mica
