Travelling Thursday

Benny: This is it! This is the day #1 leaves for Versailles and the Paralympic Games. I told her it would be a great idea to take me along. Even if pets are forbidden, I am a black cat and can be invisible!

So, Ollie is mostly better but still occasionally loses his lunch. #1 is convinced that her stress is stressing him out and he will get better once he is in Mr. G's care, followed by Ms. H's care. They are much more relaxed than #1 at the moment! In the meantime, we're keeping an eye on him, especially his pal Momo:

Little Ryu was quite shocked when he heard how long #1 was going to be gone!

Queen Tama has already started crossing her paws for #1 to have a good time and come back quickly and safely!

At this stage, we have no idea about whether we shall be able to post and/or comment over the next ten days. #1 may find herself with time in the evenings and so able to post, and maybe not. We just don't know. So, please bear with us, and be well, friends!

We Help On Wednesday

Ryū-Chan: #1 is packing her bags and I have decided that I am going with her. She's been stressed and she needs an emotional support cat. What's that, #1? Pets are not allowed? But that's not right!

We boys have all been helping #1 with her packing. It's hard work. She will be wearing her uniform most of the time, so she doesn't need much else, or does she? Momo and I see lots of snacks in there, #1!

What's with the dog toys in the bag, #1? (#1 here. I am planning to see a friend on my one afternoon off, and she has just adopted an adorable Golden retriever puppy named Verdi! This is his welcome home present!).

Benny has been trying to keep #1 from leaving:

Ollie is trying to look as cute as he can so she won't leave:

And Queen Tama is planning to power nap her way through the ten days:

Tomorrow is D-Day!

Tama-Chan Tuesday

Tama-Chan: Greetings, Dear Friends, and a warm welcome to my weekly post (there won't be one next week so make the most of this one!). It's been a stressful few days at Poupounette Central and we've all been worried about Ollie. Yesterday, he completely refused to eat and #1 got really worried. So, she took him back to Dr. C in the afternoon and this time they did a full blood panel. The good news is that his results were excellent! Dr. C concluded that whatever Ollie had eaten last week completely messed up his stomach and its going to take a little longer for it to recover. She prescribed a new liquid medication to help settle his stomach, gave him another antibiotic shot, and changed the home antibiotic treatment to something easier on the stomach and with smaller pills. He is also getting Omeprazole for a few weeks. We are happy to say that he had a good meal after he got home yesterday evening! Oh, and they all said that he was the best woofie ever! They just love him at the clinic

At my end, I am resigned to the fact that my #1 is going to disappear for ten whole days. I know that Mr. G will take great care of all of us. This is my resigned face:

I have been thinking about how I can pass the time whilst #1 is away, and decided that I really need to get back into serious dangling. As you can see, I have already started:

It's pretty tiring work!

I suppose I shall also have to spend more time with the black and white of it...

... in between naps in sunpuddles...

MoMonday manliness

Momo-Chan: Mee-Yow, Everyone! #1 said that as I am a good boy, I don't annoy anyone, and I don't wreak havoc, I could host again this week. She is getting more stressed by the minute. Ollie is still not completely back to normal and she has some tendinitis in her right hand, so we are doing our best to support her!

Here is a pic of me taken by Mr. G:

The other day, I was sitting on the window hammock and #1 noticed that I was fascinated by something, and took these pics:

Mr. G too this fun pic of little Ryū in the cat run the other day:

And #1 got this nice pic of him napping in a sunpuddle!

I must say, I do enjoy a good wrestling match with the little Dragon!

#1 ordered some food for us ahead of her departure, and Benny checked the contents on arrival:

He also helped #1 pack her stewarding bag:

#1 is beginning to think about what suitcase she will take and can fit everything in, and I don't think Ollie is pleased...

I think he would prefer #1 to stick close to home. We all would, really, but we're so lucky to have Mr. G!

Snuggles on Sunday

Tama-Chan: Hello, Dear Friends, and welcome to our last SoS post for a few weeks as #1 will be at the Paralympics the next two weekends. So, we will try to fill this post as full as possible of great snuggle pics.

I'll start with this one of #1 and Ollie, taken by Mr. G:

We also have this really nice one of #1 with Violette and Heloise:

There were some really nice photos by both Mr. G and #1 at #1's birthday dinner. We have said this before but Mr. G's Dad is a really kitty magnet! Here he is with me:

And with Benny:

That Benny likes to schmooze with everyone. Here he is with #1's cousin, Mr. P:

And with Mr. G!

Here I am, getting some serious loving from Ms. N:

But #1 will of course always be my #1!

This next photo is blurry but we just wanted to show proof that Ryū-Chan does occasionally take a break from his very busy schedule to snuggle with #1:

And another blurry shot to show that Momo also continues to snuggle with Ollie!

We will close today's SoS post with a couple more pics of #1 with Violette and Heloise:

We hope these will hold you for a while, and wish you all a snuggly and lovely Sunday.

Vet on Saturday

Ollie: Woofs, Everyone! It's me, Ollie. #1 was going to write a post this morning but I woke her up a couple of times last night throwing up and she decided it was time to take me to see Dr. C, so off we went. Dr. C examined me closely and decided that whatever I had eaten was pretty nasty and that I had a bit of an infection. I got a couple of shots (one to stop me feeling nauseous) and she gave #1 some antibiotics that I need to take for a week. I need to continue taking the stomach liner liquid medication (I don't mind it) too. I also need to be fed small meals several times a day, mainly chicken.

Here's a pic that she took of me there. Both Dr. C and #1 said I was a very, very good boy!

Violette and Heloise Vendredi

Violette: Pretty Neighs, Everyone! Violette here! So, #1 was supposed to go up to see The Big V today, along with Mr. G and Ms. N. Sadly, the weather refused to cooperate and they have had to postpone their visit until mid-September. Instead, you will be getting pics of me and my sis, Heloise!

Here are the two of us waiting to get brushies and treats!

My little sis, Heloise:

Heloise head shot:

Me head shot!

We hope you're not too disappointed!

Thankful Thursday

Tama-Chan: One week from now, #1 will be heading to Versailles for the Paralympic Games. We are thankful for the week coming up and all the snuggling we will enjoy until then. We are also thankful that Ollie is feeling so much better. And we are thankful for a lovely birthday evening last night with Mr. G and family and one of #1's cousins.

I have to tell you, Dear Friends, Mr. G's Dad is an absolute cat magnet!!! You can see where Mr. G gets it from!

And here, for fun, is #1's birthday cake!

Way Back Wednesday!

#1 here. Hello, everyone and thank you for all your kind words about Ollie. His insides have gradually been returning to normal. I really hope he thinks twice next time before eating disgusting things he finds in the fields, but he probably won't!

Today is a special day because it is not only my birthday (ancient and then some) but it was also our beloved and much missed Tommy's birthday. So, I would like to honour his memory and our joint birthdays with these birthday shots, taken in 2014 and 2016:

I miss you, my Tommy. You will always be in my heart.

PS: We are hoping to report that Ollie is over his upset stomach!
