Oh, that feels better. You have no idea how awful my week has been! First of all, my sister, Tama-Chan. disappeared on Tuesday morning. I saw #1 putting her in the car and only #1 came back. I was beside myself. Thank goodness I had my Tommy to console me! Anyway, she did eventually came back, on black Thursday. She slunk into the house, and oh, the smell! I have no idea what she had been up to but she was definitely not MY Tama-Chan, and so I had to spit and snarl, to let her know that I was not being taken in. And then, a few hours later, this "thing" came out of the back room! An interloper! He does sort of look like me, when I was a little younger, and has the same red fur, but he is not one of us! And you know what the absolutely most awful thing about him is? He will not stop purring! Yuk!
#1 has been sighing at me and telling me that once I "get over myself" he and I are going to have a wonderful time together because we are both perfect "terrible reds." She says that nothing in the house will be safe from us and she smiles. But I don't believe her.... Not yet, anyway... Well, at least Tama-Chan smells a bit better now, and I still have the run to play jungle kitty in.
Actually, my latest trick has been chasing my tail on that high and quite narrow platform!
So, there you have it, my miserable week. Please send a sympathetic purr my way!
Poor Sei-Chan! Your little world has been turned upside down!
ReplyDeleteGlad Tama-Chan is getting that strange mancat smell off her.
Sweet Sei-Chan, I understand COMPLETELY! Fui behaves like the little Hogwarts kittens are the most fascinating, wonderful little things. I am not fooled.
ReplyDeleteYou play jungle kitty very well.
Sounds like a real nightmare at your estate. First Tama-Chan gets all heated up and leaves to do who knows what and then that pesky invader.
ReplyDeleteStay close to Tommy, I say.
Slobbers,
Mango
Look at the upside Sei-Chan...you can be a big sister now!
ReplyDeleteI like Mango's suggestion, stay close to Tommy.
ReplyDeleteBolo
WOW! We has missed a lot!! A new kitten and maybe a few on da way?? What great news. Sei-Chan, Tama smells different but if yoo rub on her she will get that ick smell gone. Give it a try?
ReplyDeleteAwww, Sei-Chan... Don't you think you're being overly dramatic? Just a bit? We will remind you of all this when in a week or two the first snuggle pile pictures of Tommy with three cats on and around him come dropping in... But we totally understand you for now. Just take your time and let it happen. You're a gorgeous jungle cat!
ReplyDeleteYour friends, Siena & Chilli
My goodness! Poor you! Loads of puurrs coming their way!
ReplyDeleteDear Sei-Chan,
ReplyDeleteI know exactly how you feel. Any time Styggie goes to that terrible "vet" place, when she comes back, she smells awful and I am just SURE she has gone to work for them and is gonna try and "fix" me again. Thank goodness she has gotten better at bathing. It's almost unforgivable.
A little terrible Mr. Red has joined your ranks? We are delighted for you! We can't wait to chase... I mean meet him...
Purrs,
Abby & Stygia
P.S.
ReplyDeleteChasing your tail is a great way to show the rest of the world you are mature and capable of taking care of your own aggressive feelings without taking it out on others!
-Abby, fellow tail-chaser
Awww, poor Sei-chan. Life is certainly difficult for you now. You show the interloper who is boss!
ReplyDeleteAnd we're with Mango. Stick with Tommy. He's your best bet at comfort right now.

ReplyDeleteI think there is more fun in the works!

Things will get better, it'll take time. Pretty soon Tama-Chan will smell better. The last time Rosie came from the vet, I had to hiss at her for 3 days!

Such big news and goings ons we have missed while Mom has been busy, busy, busy! Wow! Lot's of adjustments to be made in your house, Sei-Chan. Than goodness that you have Tommy to keep things copacetic!
ReplyDeleteI think that you have reason to spit and snarl! Watch out for the invader. You will have to share everything with him.
ReplyDeleteYour friend,
Niamh
You certainly have had an eventful week. We have a feeling that you and the pipsqueak will be having great fun together in no time.
ReplyDeleteOh Sei-Chan I'm so sorry for your terrible week! Do you want to come to my house and hang out in my parsley pot for a bit?
ReplyDeleteHuffle Mawson
Our deepest sympathies, dear Sei-Chan, you do not sound like our sweet and playful kitty. We hope you get used to having another male in your den. What does Tommy think of all of this?
ReplyDeletewoos,the OP Pack
Hi Sei-Chan. Poor baby, your world really has been turned upside down! But be patient...things will look up soon. Give that little red intruder a chance, and soon you'll be able to play chase with him. And everyone still loves you just as much as ever! Snuggle with your Tommy and you'll feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteOh, the things an "adult" Sei-Chan has to put up with. Remember, not too long ago, you were the pesky purring kitten...
ReplyDeletePoor Zephyr is having to put up with a new kitten in her new home too, and she's none too happy and is vomiting from nerves we think.
We hope you all settle in soon and get "over yourself'
Sei-chan, you are one fierce ladycat. I would not mess with you.
ReplyDeleteOh poor Sei-Chan! I hope you realize soon that the new kitty will make a great little brother - and now you have a little brother to blame stuff on! I am sure you will love each other very soon!
ReplyDeleteOh dear - it's been a very upsetting day, Sei-chan! We hope that things calm down some and perhaps that new boy won't be too bad, once he figures out where he is in the pecking order (below you, of course).
