Manly Monday

#1 here. We are once again a little late in posting today. Yesterday evening, as I was getting ready to prepare today's post, Momo scampered past me and I caught a whiff of something unspeakable. I managed to get hold of him and when I lifted his tail, I saw the full extent of the wardrobe incident, or rather pantaloon catastrophe. The "output' had somehow stuck to his bum, his legs, his tail and pantaloons. The smell was overwhelming and the whole thing gross. It was an interesting experience to wrangle a cat with one hand (by the scruff of the neck) as I tried to find a solution. The cover was so vast that it was just impossible to remove with wet towels. So, still holding him, I managed to fill a pail with warm water and soap, and stuck his bum and hind legs and tail into it. It took ages to massage and remove the stuff. It was unspeakably awful. He was really good, actually, and he is now back to his usual pristine self

Ollie and Benny were being good boys:

The Big V, looking handsome when I visited last week:

  2. That sounds quite horrible, but maybe our #1 will realize that our "accidents" aren't quite as bad! One of us has been known to pee where one ought not, and apparently it has been deemed "behavioral".
The other, due to very abundant pantaloons, has "clingons" from time to time.
Momo cleaned up well...he is quite handsome!

  3. Egads, hoping that Momo's 'output' didn't also get dotted around the house too.

  4. Hope little Momo isn’t sick. My long-haired cat messes himself up occasionally, too.

  5. I left out loud at ducky’s but bath but not laughing at having to give a blood bath to pour Momo and I know Momo didn’t love it and neither did you. So glad you could get it off and she’s back to her beautiful white on smelly self. We will be visiting daily no matter if Bo post or not because will be posting every day on one or the other of the two blog

  6. Oh Momo! We're sorry to hear you had such a messy incident but it's good to know you cooperated with #1 while she cleaned you up. Our paws are crossed that it never happens again to such beautiful white fur.

  7. I am forever in dread that Marv will have a pantaloon explosion! Kudos to #1!

  8. Have had solid bits stuck in fluffy pantaloons but this sounds like diarrhea. Did Momo get into
    something he shouldn't have?

  9. Yikes ! Years ago our long-haired calico Tater had a similar disaster. She ran around the whole house like a toddler with a full diaper before we finally corralled her. Glad you got Momo cleaned up -safely for both of you !

  11. Not something you want him to make a habit of!! I hope he is okay though. Although Eric didn't have fluffy pantaloons he did often have pooping problems. The poop would sometimes get stuck halfway and he would rub his butt along the carpet.
That not only made skid marks but rubbed it into his fur too.

  12. That's awful when that happens and it sure isn't easy to deal with being only one person. I'm glad it all came clean.
