The Big V: What can I say? Mud or no mud - just as handsome as ever!
The Big V: What can I say? Mud or no mud - just as handsome as ever!
Tama-Chan: Hello, Dear Friends. It has been a good snuggle week at Poupounette Central, and I shall start with myself snuggling with #1:
#1 here. Sen-Chan (aka Poupounet), who started this blog with Tommy, was not with us for very long, and he left for the Bridge in January 2009, at the age of 18 months. He was an incredibly sweet boy, adventurous, kind and cuddly. I would like to remember him in today's post.
Although he was a pure-bred Abyssinian, Sen-Chan was a bit of a rescue. I saw him when I visited the breeder. He was clearly not well and came straight to me. He needed to be gotten out of there. The breeder sold him to me cheap and the rest was history, and far too short.
Here he is ,shortly after he came home:
Benny: I love to hang out with my bro, Ollie. He is so much fun!
Fun is what I enjoy most! I was having a lot of fun last night and I just don't know why #1 got mad at me. She was busy watching TV, so I thought I would get my own meal ready. I got four sachets of yummy food from the supplies, brought them under the dining room table and tore into them. What's wrong with that? Anyone?
Lily: I have fun with my Mama, Noelle, but the most fun I have is with my Daddy, Olli!e But he hasn't been to see me for the longest time. Do you know why? I can smell him when #1 comes here but when she opens the car door, my Daddy isn't there. I'm sad! I want him back!
My Mama tells me he'll be back to see us soon. I hope she's right!
Hotesse: Wise Neighs, Dear Friends. It's Hotesse writing today, to say how thankful I am for the medicine that #1 got for me. I think it is really helping me. Ms. C has been sending pics of me to #1. I get my medicine every day with some yummy grain and treats!
And she sent #1 some more pics of me!
Sorry about the mud, but there's no way around it at the moment! #1 is coming to see us tomorrow, and we're all looking forward to that! We are thankful for her!
Ollie: Woofs, everyone! It's me, Ollie, again! I had my one-month post-op appointment with Dr. C yesterday. The instructions from the referral hospital said that I should have an x-ray if Dr. C thought I needed one. She watched me walk, palpated me, stretched my legs and gave me the once over, and she said I did not! And that I was doing really well! And she told #1 that there was no charge as this was the second follow-up visit. Isn't she totally awesome?
We don't have much in the way of pics to illustrate the visit. Here is one that #1 took when we were waiting to go in:
I have a an appointment booked with the surgeon who did the operation, on February 21st. That is when he will sign me off to resume normal activity. Until then, my walking times need to be extended a little each day! Dr. C suggested we try a Halti collar to stop me pulling so much. We happened to have one at home and tried it yesterday afternoon. It seems to work! As for #1, she needs to return to Dr. C next week as Da Benny needs his boosters!
Tama-Chan: Well, Dear Friends, #1 took this photo of me and she said that both it and I are sheer perfection!
Ollie: Woofs, Everyone! Ollie here! Here I am on my morning walk with #1. She s not pleased with me because she says that I am pulling more and more. It's normal, I want to RUN! We have an appointment with Dr. C tomorrow. She will probably take an x-ray and, if all is well, will sign me off for more exercise, although #1 says I probably won't be allowed to run freely for a while longer.
Tama-Chan: Hello, Dear Friends. We have a nice line-up of Poupounette Central snuggle pics for you today, although #1 didn't get any snuggle shots with the Vs and Hs.
I have been smuggling with #1 a lot:
Rainbow Sei: Hello Everyone, and welcome to our weekly souvenir post. We are glad that everyone at Poupounette Central is warm again. Last weekend was tough! I am not sure how many appropriate photos we have for this, but I thought I would try to do a winter post, so here goes.
Tommy was of course the real fan of winter and he just loved it when it snowed! So here are several photos of him:
As a rule, we kitties are not huge fans of cold and snow, but it's fun to explore occasionally. Here is Da Beebs in the cat run:
And Da Genj!
Yuu-Chan was much more of a homebody and his idea of winter was sitting on the radiator in the study!
We didn't yet have a cat run when Sen-Chan was with us, so his idea of winter fun was playing with Tommy!
I confess that I myself was not a big fan of the snow, so this is how I liked to spend winter:
Our Trav was of course an outdoor kitty so his concern in the winter was having a dry and warm place to sleep. He loved the big box of straw that #1 made for him at the back of our garage:
We hope you have enjoyed today's post, and we hope you will all have a great weekend!
