Woofie Wednesday

Ollie: You remember that I mentioned on Monday that I would tell you about my new friend? His name is Oscar and he is about 6 weeks younger than me. He is a cross between a cocker spaniel and a labrador, but we think he looks more like a beagle! Anyway, we met for the first time on Sunday and we had the BEST time together at his house. There's lots and lots of places to run and even a pond!

I was braver than Oscar in exploring the pond!

And when we got too tired, we ended up playing bitey face lying down!

There's nothing better than friends!

And you know the weird thing? Oscar's parents lost their previous boy a few months before Tommy, and he died of exactly the same illness!

Tama-Chan Tuesday

Tama-Chan: This weather is simply wonderful, Dear Friends! After last week's inferno, it is sunny and pleasantly warm, almost cool at night.

I have been very busy working on my various vertical dangle techniques:

But I still find time to lounge by the kitchen window!

A Queen's work is never done...

Manly Monday

Ollie: Phew! The awful heat has gone away and I have been able to run and play again! I had the best time with a new friend yesterday, and I will tell you more about him on Wednesday.

When it was so hot last week, #1 went over to cool down in the neighbours' pool several times. I was not allowed in the pool but I did enjoy it!

I will be 9 months old tomorrow. #1 and I have had our picture taken together every month since I came to live with her, so this is the latest one:

Da Genj: The other day, I dreamt of my bro, Da Beebs, as I slept:

I miss him. I wish he was still around.

The Big V: NeigH, #1! You can come over anytime with carrots and apples!

And we have a special guest today, our squirrel pal, Da Red:

Wishing everyone a great week!

Snuggles on Sunday

Tama-Chan: I am happy to say that it has cooled down quite a bit and we have had some rain. It was cool enough this morning for #1 to put on a light sweater! It will get warm again next week, but more normal heat for this time of year. As you can imagine, there was some reductio in snuggling because everyone was  just too exhausted to move last week. So, #1 dug up a cute photo from the archives of the day I first snuggled with her:

That pic was taken in 2008, not long before I came to live at Poupounette Central.

Ollie always snuggles with #1 in bed first thing in the morning, when it is coolest:

In this, he is often joined by Genji:

Last Sunday, before the heat became unbearable, we had some cousins to lunch and the two young ladies, Tayma and Kyra, loved snuggling with us!

They have a beautiful panther girl at home, called Olive. Here she is. Isn't she gorgeous?

#1 did manage to get some snuggle pics of the Vs!

Wishing you all a snuggly Sunday!

Sei-Chan's Souvenir Saturday

Rainbow Sei: I never thought I would hear such a thing but, down at Poupounette Central, they were actually hoping for less sun and more rain this week! Can you believe it? I am happy to say they finally did get the rain, and the cooler weather that came with it. So, I think we will do indoor pics today!

Except for Tommy! We decided to use a beach photo for our Tommy!

Here is a nice one of Yuu relaxing on the sofa:

And here I am, relaxing with #1 at her desk:

Trav didn't have much indoor time, so here is a nice one relaxing on the neighbours' wall:

Here is one of Ikkyu, demanding smoked salmon, now!

And last but not least, gorgeous red Sen-Chan taking it easy on the armchair!

Wishing you all a happy "SEIturday"!

Vidock and Violette Vendredi

Vidock: Handsome Neighs, EveryFriend! It has been so hot here! We are lucky that we have some nice trees we can shelter under but we are neighing that it will finally start to cool down today.

Our farrier came to do our hooficures on Wednesday. He was supposed to come a couple of weeks ago but we had to change the date. Fortunately for him and for us, Ms. C and #1 made a space for us in a large hangar so we were in the shade, away from the flies, so it was OK.

I went first:

I became quite sleepy and rested my head on the farrier's back. He didn't think it was a great idea...

Here, I am getting my final "varnish". We use a product called Fiske's Hoof and Hide Balm that comes all the way from Canada!

Violette: Pretty neighs, everyone! I too am crossing hoofs that it is going to cool down. I feel bad for #1 as her A/C is not working again in the car.. We are hoping the garage can fix it quickly.

Wishing you a cool Friday!

Toasty Thursday

Genji: Today is supposed to be the last day of the heatwave, and it's also supposed to be the hottest day yet! Aaaaauuuuuughhhhh!

Tama and I only dare to go near the windows first thing in the morning:

And there is the occasional temptation of sharing #1's breakfast:

The Vs: Count yourself lucky, little fella. You don't have to deal with the flies!

Ollie: I have been thinking (just a little) about jumping into that (Fernant's famiy's) pool!

We are crossing everything we've got that the weather forecast is right about tomorrow!

sWeltering Woofie Wednesday

Ollie: Woofs, Everyone! It's hot here. Very HOT! It's supposed to stay like this for another couple of days and then break on Friday.  I still run around when I can, but #1 is careful that I don't get overheated.

Yesterday evening, we went to visit some friends where there are lots and lots of dogs! They are working dogs who "do" sheep. #1 tells me they are called Border Collies. I introduced myself to everyone but the one I played with most is called Sky:

I also met Sky's Dad, a retired champion called Jim. He knew TOWCB, Tommy!

It was a lot of fun. I love making new friends!
