Sei-Chan Saturday and Market Day!

Sei-Chan: It has been another wonderful week here in the French countryside. #1 says I am growing up too fast and that I have the shiniest fur! Which reminds me! I have been invited by my friend Chilli to join her "Silky and Slender Crew"...

... and I am so honoured and excited! THANKS, Chilli! I went looking for a suitably silky and slender photo of myself...

I have been playing all kinds of games, both by myself and with my sister, Tama-Chan. #1 saw me this morning astride her back, riding her like a bronco! Unfortunately, she didn't have her camera. Next time!

I found a cool box to play in:

And a pipe cleaner thingy:

... or was that my paw....?

Changing focus a little, I would now like to hand over the keyboard to #1.

#1: Like most towns in France, ours has a weekly farmers' market. It's on Saturday mornings and runs all year, although the offerings are definitely more interesting in spring and summer. I had my camera with me this morning and thought I would share some images with you.

Have a great weekend, everyone!

  1. Oh no, you are making the little man's mum so depressed and longing to move again! She misses the markets in Belgium so much. Those photos are fabulous!

The little man got very excited when he saw the chickens - we used to love queuing up and buying chickens at our local Sunday market in Brussels. We can still smell them!

Sei-Chan looked great in her photos too!

    Take care
Clive, the little man and his mum!

    - the radishes look fantastic too!!

  3. I love Farmers' Markets! They're amazing. We don't have enough of them in my area, and if they do have them, they tend to be very far away. Those pictures only managed to make me hungry!

Congratulations, Sei-Chan, on your silky and slender status!

  4. Wonderful! What a neat market! #1, you must be inspired daily to cook good food with so much bounty on offer. MMmmm, the cheese, the bread, the veggies! Yum!

Sei-Chan, you are lithe as well as silky. Beautiful!

Please forgive my long absence..with the Sandy Man home and the English Major graduating, it's been a bit hectic! I've missed you!

  5. Our farmers markets just got started up again. They banned woofies so Grete can go along and I never did get to go anyway!! I'd make a pain of myself over that cheese!! Sei-Chan is looking ever so silky and slender!

  7. A gastronomic delight! We love the colours, too. Supermarkets never seem to have the same intensity of colour.

Sei-Chan, you are growing into such a glamourous young ladycat:)

  10. We don't have a farmer's market where we live. There's a big turkish market every day of the week, but the stuff isn't local. Maybe still better than at the supermarket.
Sei-Chan, I'm delighted by your picture. Those legs never stop, do they?

  14. That looks wonderful!! The PM had her parents over today and they had a simple lunch of bread, cheese and fruit. The PM said she just needed a nice glass of wine and she'd be all set. She commented that they should live in France. That is where her Dad's people were from.

    Lovely spread!

You are looking very beautiful Sei-Chan!

  16. Is that CHEESE we see? All of us here are big cheese fans.

By the way, it is OK to chase your own body-parts. It shows imagination!

  17. Sei-Chan, the pictures are absolutely charming. It sounds like you're having a lot of fun.

We love the photos from the market. Our Woman says they make her long for her favourite city, Berlin, where there are several markets with the most wonderful things.
