His name is Imago and he was about to be hitched to a cart to take some people from Paris around town!
So, given the weather, #1 decided to go back to our archive and find a nice sunny, and very manly, picture of me!
Now #1 keeps telling me that being manly is not just a question of leaping about catching Frisbees and tennis balls. She says, in fact, that the most important thing is to be a gentleman! For example, she has been teaching me to be respectful of all creatures and things, starting with pussycats. No chasing, although an offer to play is OK. I used to have so much fun last summer playing outside with my brother Sen-Chan. Here is an archive shot of one of our adventures:
Of course, the hardest thing is birds since I was after all designed to "spring" them. The other day, I heard a noise in one of the hedges and quickly "sprung" a half-grown thrush. #1 was all over me, telling me not to touch it. It was cute as a button:
And I was congratualted for being such a gentleman because I sat there, next to it, and just let it be. #1 loves birds, and I need to please her!
That horse is quite handsome! But not as handsome as you, Tommy! You are such a good boy to not hurt that birdie.
ReplyDeleteWhat a good guy you are Tommy! It is fun to point and flush birds but we must never hurt them. I have not met many cats but you are so good with them that I would like one for a friend.
ReplyDeleteYour friend,
Niamh
Good boy, Tommy! You have learned so well:)
ReplyDeleteImago is very handsome. It must have been a nice surprise to see him this morning:)
Woo est l'homme!
ReplyDeleteTank woo fur sharing your khool pikhs today!
Hugz&Khysses,
Khyra
We thoroughly agree with Gandalf and Grayson... Tom, you are the most handsome, and we think it was perfect that you "spring" the birdie and sat right down by it, just for #1.

Wow Tom, you are quite the gentleman aren't you? Gotta admit, I like Manly Mondays. You do a great job!

What a good looking horse. It looks huge.
ReplyDeleteWe love the picture of you and Sen-Chan playing outside.
It's clear you're a real gentleman, Tom.
Your friends,
Cliff & Olivia
You are such a good boy Tommy!!!
ReplyDeleteImago is beautiful. I would love to ride in any carriage he was in front of. He must be quite a sight as he trots through the streets.
ReplyDeleteGood work in not hurting the bird, Tom. I'm impressed by your self-control. I couldn't have done that!
Rain - we know ALL about it!
ReplyDeleteTom, we have a blackbird nesting on our terrace. Could you please give us extra lessons in gentlecatness? Apparently we will need them urgently.
The picture of you with Sen-Chan is glorious. Do you think #1 could email us a large version? It would be a lovely memory of your brofur...
Purrs, Siena & Chilli
Good Tommy! Little birds aren't fun as frisbees.
ReplyDeleteImago seems very quite too, not able to disturb a mouse -who is the matter of your sisters-
ViVi & AB
Oh yes please Sei-Chan, I'd just love to be your bestest friend! :) As you say, we're almost the same age and in a year our age difference will be negligible. I'm also glad we have such a lot in common, such as a taste for tail nibbling (others tails and not our own of course) as well as playing and cuddling! :) Mummy says we will have another interest in common when we get bigger too... She seems to think that we won't find boy cats yucky and silly any more, though I can't think why?! Does my fur sister Tama-Chan like boys?
ReplyDeletePurrs,
Setra
xx
Tom, I like that you are so gentlemanly!
ReplyDeleteMamma Isis does that too Sei-Chan, it's weird and makes Uncle Ramses all flustered in a friendly sort of way (even with him not feeling too well) ;) *giggle*
ReplyDeleteMamma Isis says she wants to go visit my Daddy again you know, sometimes I bet he can hear her calling from where he lives!
Purrs,
Setra
Snap the horse says:
ReplyDelete"Hubba, hubba!!!! I'm in heat...want to meet up??"
Please excuse her, she is um...rather friendly when in heat. Anyhow, we love that picture of you from last summer!
Kaze
From the LL: Snap would be quite jealous! I swear she wants nothing more than to be bred. I was wondering why the pissy attitude for the past week and then I saw her on the fence line winking as only a mare can...haha, only hore people will understand that!
ReplyDeleteYou're such a good dog, Tommy. Unlike the horrible woofie that invaded my home on Sunday!
ReplyDeleteYou certainly are a gentleman, Tom. Even after springing after that bird I'm sure you wouldn't hurt it. My mom lets me flush birds and track rabbits, but I'm not allow to chase after the rabbit that lives with my Jack Russell terrier friend, Tagpi. Our hoomans laugh when we're all together, because they've never seen a terrier, a spaniel, and a rabbit so at ease with each other in the same room. It all comes down to training and wanting to be perfect gentlemen to keep our special hoomans happy.
ReplyDeleteTom, you are such a pretty puppy, and it is so nice to know you are friends with the kitties. The picture of you with Sen-Chan is wonderful. And I am so impressed that you didn't bother the birdie - you are quite a gentleman. You remind me so much of my grandpa's dog Sammy, who I miss very much. It is nice to have you to remind me.
ReplyDeleteTom, you are so good! Grete can't believe her eyes watching you. We're pretty sure she might not be as patient and kind as you around the little birdies!
ReplyDeleteIs that what you are supposed to do with a baby bird? I'll try to remember in case I ever see one. You certainly are a fine gentleman.
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Dexter
Such self-control, Tommy!!! Not only are you handsome, but you are quite the gentle-man too.
ReplyDeleteWoos, the OP Pack
Great horse! Love the memory photo of you and Sen-Chan too. You are so manly, Tom!
