This blog was started in June 2008 by a young sorrel Abyssinian cat called Sen-Chan and a slightly younger English Springer Spaniel called Tommy. The years that followed were full of hellos and goodbyes. Some, like Sen-Chan and Yuu-Chan, were lost very young. Other Abys like Sei-Chan, Bibi, and Genji stayed with us for quite a few years. But they too have gone now, as has Tommy. In the interim, several Percheron horses joined the family, starting with Vidock in 2010, Violette in 2012, and then Hotesse and Heloise in 2020. They contribute to the blog regularly. But the mainstays are Ollie, also an English Springer Spaniel, Tama, an Abyssinian queen who has been with us since late 2008, and Benkei (Benny), a little ruffian who joined us in 2021, followed by Momo in 2022, and another Aby boy, Ryū, in 2023.. We live in rural France, in a region called the Perche, which is famous for its heavy horses.
Che you look lovely there all curled up and cute! It's grotty weather here too, so no time to play in the run today for me either... Just time to day dream about you because I accept your offer and hope you don't mind my occasional dalliance with an Abyssinian Mancat of the eeer professional boyfriend type in order to help secure the future of our species and all that! ;) I promise to be discreet (even though the spell check suggested I be descriptive) about these events and shall always return to you even if I have a belly full of kittens when I do... *blush*
I guess there is one real upside to our being geographically separated, I'll just have to make do with my half-brother Ramses for kitten sitting duty! ;)
Yeah its icky and rainy and depressing here too. I'm not feeling so hot so I'm just sleeping and not wasting too much energy. I hope the sun shines soon!
i'm so sorry it is still nasty where you are. it is hot and muggy here so no windows open either. i'd be sad if I was Tom and had to go out in the rain. yuck.

We can sympathize. It's raining here in Munich too. :( Sen-Chan, our mom thinks you Abbys are so good looking!
ReplyDeleteOne photo of me now added for you to pick up, just above your one on my page!

Sen-Chan,
ReplyDeleteYou are lucky to have such a lovely girl like Isis to dream about.
Right now I am dreaming about a world without foul-tasting medicines.
Your Tabby Pal,
Abby

If it keeps raining and raining, here is a song you can sing:
ReplyDelete"Rain, rain go away!
Come again some other day!"
I hope it works.
