Thankful Thursday

Ollie: Woofs everyone! Ollie here! #1 asked me to explain what happened with her eye. I should warn you it is not for the squeamish! When the surgeon saw the stye in her left eye, he decided to postpone the cataract operation and remove the stye instead. This, however, was done without any kind of anaesthetic! Scalpel and squeezy tweezers were the order of the day and #1 said it hurt like hXXl. The eye was very sore afterwards. At the same time, the right eye that had the op last week is taking its sweet time to improve, so she is having a hard time doing stuff. She has quite  lot of work to do and has been concentrating on that, to the detriment of commenting for us. SORRY! The cataract surgery has now been rescheduled for April 7 as #1 has to go away on a job March 27 to April 3. Until then, she says she will be bumbling along.

As you know, Mr. G looked after us when #1 was gone (as well as replacing the HDD in her MacBook Pro with a much bigger SSD), and we are always thankful for that! I was also super thankful because he took me to have a romp with Osella and Lola,  the two wonderful Lab girls that he also looks after! I always have a great time with them! He took some great shots!

I am thankful for friends who bring fun into my life!

  5. Good golly; I guess that I really didn't know what a stye was until now...eeks!
I've been through a few eye surgeries in my youth, yet I still have double vision, which means I have little depth perception.
Hope #1's eyes get better right quick!

  9. That sounds rather barbaric not using any anaesthetic! I hope the stye soon heals and the cataract operation can take place on schedule.
Looks like you had a great time with your friends, Ollie.

  10. Those are great photos! Yikes, poor #1. Our Dad would have hit the Doc in the groin with out anaesthetic!
