Heloise: Youthful Neighs, Everyone! I hope you are all having a good week. It is pretty hot here. I am glad we have some shade in our field!
Remember how I had told you that I would be going to school? Well, I have started!
This thing on my back is called a surcingle.
And then, Ms. C put on the bridle:
She attached a lunging rein, and off we went!
So, what do I do now, Ms. C?
We went around in circles, in both directions:
And she made me do a little obstacle course:
And then came the really scary part! She wanted me to go over that thing!!!
Let me tell you, it took a lot of coaxing! She showed it to me up close.
And finally, I took the plunge!
Let me tell, I didn't dawdle!
Phew!
But after I had been over it a few times, she put some apple pieces in the middle of it, and I liked it a lot better!
School is really hard work! My Mama was neighing encouragement from nearby. She has never been to school and told me how lucky I was to have this opportunity. I guess she's right...
oooh that looks great!!!! we go to a school too, we hope we will like it as much as you...
