Sad SEIturday

Sei-Chan: I am sad today, of course because #1 is away for the weekend, but I am sad for my Tommy because, after his Mama Minnie crossed the Bridge so recently, his daddy, Joe, also crossed the Bridge on Thursday.

Joe was such a very sweet boy. He was not too well-used in his youth, leading to terrible problems with his hind legs, ending in virtual paralysis at the end. But Mr. R and Ms. a looked after him with such devotion and such love, and he remained a very happy boy. We all think that much of Tommy's sweet disposition comes from his Daddy.

Here is a shot of Tommy and Joe when Joe could still get around:

Joe loved his ball as much as Tommy!

Here is a very sweet picture of Tommy watching over his parents, Minnie and Joe:

Saying hello to Daddy Joe:

Run free, sweet Joe. We will look after your son.

And as if that wasn't enough, we just heard today that Shining Prince Genji's Mama, Bastet, also crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Run free, beautiful princess:

To cheer you up a little, here are a couple of shots of me:

  9. Sei-Chan, we are sorry you have to share your day with sad news. Poor Tommy and his extended family. Losing two beloved pups so close together has to be very hard. It is easy to see, by looking at his parents, where Tommy got his loving and tender ways. And our sympathy as well to Genji on the loss of his beautiful mama. Soft woos and gentle hugs from all of us.

Bastet will be remembered by all that we're honored to have one ol her loved filled kitties as part of their lives.
Our sincere condolences to her family.
Our mum read this post earlier in the day but could not respond at that time. Driving home . Mum saw a double rainbow. Two of the largest, widest, most vivid rainbows she's ever seen . She knew it was Joe and Bastet.
Kisses for you , dear Sei.

  13. Coucou Sei,
