Violette: Pretty neighs, Everyone! I hope you are all enjoying the summer. #1 came to see us yesterday. It was dry when she left Poupounette Central but, by the time she got to us, the heavens had opened. It was absolutely pelting down! But, we horses were out and about rather than hiding in our shelters! Why? Well, when it's raining that hard, there are no flies and believe me, no flies definitely wins out over a little wet. Here is the scene she saw:
I am second from right, in case you were wondering.
Of course, I came over to collect my carrots and apples:
And here is a profile shot for you:
By the way, my littlest Sis, Heloise, is doing really well. My Mama, Hotesse, is looking after her so well! And my little sis, Doucette, is expecting! I am going to be an aunt next spring! The daddy is the same as Heloise's daddy!
# is a little concerned about me as Mr. JP told her I was getting a little out of breath again. It may just be the heat we've had but, to be sure, I will return to the big equine hospital in mid-July for a full check-up. Would you mind crossing some hooves and paws for me?
Well Violette,we guess rain is good if it keeps the flies away :) Your family really is growing.
ReplyDeleteVidock, we are going to purr for you and hope you are not sick again.
Purrs Georgia,Julie and JJ
I'm definitely sending some purrs to you Vidock - I hope all is well with you.
ReplyDeleteall paws are crossed that you come back from the horse-pital with good news...I'm with you, now the evil flies are gone and we have a quiet time...even when we have wet-nesday now everyday :O)
ReplyDeleteWe have had a deluge of rain here also, Violette. Our horses don't bother with the shelters and prefer to go and roll and try and get muddy when it rains. Like you though, they are always in the shelters when the flies are around.
ReplyDeleteI hope everything is okay when you have your checkup, Vidock.
Vidock, here's hoping that you are A-OK! I hope #1 will post some photos of her trip to England.

Enjoy your trip, #1! I was almost going to Suffolk for the Suffolk Punch breed show this autumn, but then I splashed out on an expensive lens for my camera - whoops!
