Violette: Pretty Neighs! I bet you didn't think it would me first, did you? Well, I thought I had better get in there and say hello before you know who goes on and on about his scars... You know what boys are like!
Did you bring my apples and carrots, #1?
It has been cooler lately, so it has been OK for me to venture out of my shelter to get my treats!
OK, I guess I had better pass you on to the Big V:
Vidock: Studly Neighs, EveryFriend! I'M BACK! Well, I have to say, the accommodations were very nice over there and I felt fortunate, looking at some of the other equines around me. There were some really sick horses there, with big bandages, casts etc. I got off lightly!
I have to tell you, I was ready to come home, though!
Don't mind Miss Vioette, she is jealous of my beautiful scars. I have two of them!
Pretty nice work, don't you think? The staples will come out on August 3rd. The bad news is that I have to have six whole weeks of box rest. I have a nice salt and mineral likc, and #1 is bringing me treats, and she has ordered something called Zylkene to keep me quiet. In 2 weeks, I will start going out for just 15 minutes a day, for 2 weeks, then 30 minutes a day for another 2 weeks. #1 is hoping I will not explode...
Here I am in my box:
And my treats!
Thanks again for all your good thoughts, Pals. I really appreciate it, as does #1.
And lest we forget, here is the obligatory Heloise pin-up:
Violette, it is good to see you and we must say, you look lovely! Little Heloise looks lovely too.
ReplyDeleteVidock, we are glad you are home and well.
Those are mighty impressive scars.
We purr you will not mind being cooped up, but it is for your health and recovery.
Just enjoy your treats and attention :)
Purrs Georgia,Julie and JJ
Those really are some scars, Vidock! Bummer about the box rest, though.
ReplyDeleteViolette, it is always so nice to see the pretty you! Vidock, those scars look pretty darn good pal and make sure you rest and eat your treats!
ReplyDeleteWelcome home Vidock!! Rest up so you can recover quickly. We know #1 will give you treats and visit you often!
ReplyDeleteThose are impressive, "battle scars", Vidock! Sucks about the six weeks of box rest ...that would be a challenge for anyone! If anyone can do it though, we know you can! :)

Welcome home, Vidock, we wish you a good recovery ! We didn't know that horses could benefit from Zylkene ; we think it's good to help you keep calm, and we hope it works for you. Purrs
ReplyDeleteViolette, it is always nice to see you, and ladies before gentlemen, right? Vidock, your scars make you even more manly. We are happy to hear you are home, but six weeks - that is going to be a long rest time. Hope #1 has lots of tricks up her sleeve.

So glad Big V is home and resting in his pen. Our human nearly fainted when she got to see Violette's pink nose spot. For some reason those really get to her.... HahaMeow!
ReplyDeleteOh, Vidock...you do as you are told and stay quiet; you want to heal up correctly, right? #1 will be all worried and such for awhile, methinks. You three look fab!
ReplyDeleteWe think lots of carrots and apples will help you heal
ReplyDeleteLily & Edward

ReplyDeleteGlad you are able to come home , dear Vidock. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and stay fine for your recovery. Will the flies bother your incisional areas ? Is there medicine of some sort? Hopefully you will be able to rest and heal without incident. You know our love will be with you.
ReplyDeleteThe incisions are completely clean and dry, and he is not bothered by flies when in the box, which is one advantage!
DeleteWe're glad to hear the weather is better so you can come out and get your treats Miss Violette. It's good to see the Big V home and we hope the time in the stall will go quickly.
ReplyDeleteVidock, désolé d'avoir oublié de te laisser un petit mot.
ReplyDeleteJe te souhaite beaucoup de courage pour ta convalescence. Il faut essayer d'être sage ....
