Tama's Tuesday Tale of Woe

Tama-Chan:
Or should I have called it Tuesday Torture? I am being picked on and it's absolutely not fair! So what if I have been feeling my "ladyness" and leaving little golden liquid offerings hither and thither around the house? #1 should be honoured, not horrified as she claims to be! So, I am being ostracized, ill-treated, cruelly abused! During the day, I am confined to the cat run and the back room (the one where I lived with my kittens), and just the back room at night. No more swanning through the house wherever and whenever I feel like it. I am shocked and deeply hurt.

Of course, #1 did spend hours playing with me, grooming me and petting me last night, and I purred up a storm. It really is the very minimum she can do for me!

I have been advised that once I am over this little spate of "vapours" I am going to be given a little something that will calm me right down until I am ready for motherhood again, perhaps later this year. Then I can go back into the rest of the house. In the meantime, here is a picture from happier times:

Oh, and thanks for all the nice words about Yuu-Chan. He is still very nauseous and totally off his food, but we are hoping that the antibiotics will start to kick in soon.

  1. Well, that treatment sounds like something out of the Dark Ages to me, Tama-chan. I hope that those who are imposing this upon you become more enlightened, and soon.

Please convey nose licks to Yuu-chan for me and of course, please accept some for yourself during this, your hour of tribulation. It's not much, but it's all a Pei can do.

    wags to you, Lola

We are purring very hard for Yuu-Chan to feel better. We think he's secretly our mom's favourite Poupounette. We, of course, love all of you equally!

  8. Well, it is wonderful that you have the run for the daytimes. Have your "secretions" attracted any suitors to the run yet? maybe that is why you-know-who came by recently.

You have answered a question I had - might you ever have kittens again.

  9. At least you can go outside for some time during the day and smell the lovely spring air. Why don't ou suggest the #1 that it's your turn to wander about tonght and the others to be shut in. Although she may have a mutiny on her hands!

  10. Tama, it's for your own good! You aren't ready to be a Mom cat again this soon. Well, maybe YOU are ready but that's another story.

  11. Oh my...Coco does the same thing when she is in heat...Kiki never does but she is more aloof than Coco and maybe that's the difference.

At least you have a lovely run to mark to your hearts content...don't be too sad!

  17. Tama-Chan, I did the same thing a couple of Springs ago. Mommy & Daddy weren't sure if I had had my ladygardenectomy when I showed up...the spraying clinched the deal & off I went to the v-e-t! I had a round of spraying this Spring, too...just for kicks. My parents were NOT amused.

  27. If I can figure out the boogie mat thingie, I was thinking we could arrange to have you come visit awhile. A nice vacation will work wonders to cure your vapors! I think.

  28. Oh, you poor dear...I have to say that as a human female who also is subject to vapors, it might be nice for me to be separated from everyone all day (as they tend to get on my vaporous nerves!), as long as I get hours of special attention in the evenings.
