This blog was started in June 2008 by a young sorrel Abyssinian cat called Sen-Chan and a slightly younger English Springer Spaniel called Tommy. The years that followed were full of hellos and goodbyes. Some, like Sen-Chan and Yuu-Chan, were lost very young. Other Abys like Sei-Chan, Bibi, and Genji stayed with us for quite a few years. But they too have gone now, as has Tommy. In the interim, several Percheron horses joined the family, starting with Vidock in 2010, Violette in 2012, and then Hotesse and Heloise in 2020. They contribute to the blog regularly. But the mainstays are Ollie, also an English Springer Spaniel, Tama, an Abyssinian queen who has been with us since late 2008, and Benkei (Benny), a little ruffian who joined us in 2021, followed by Momo in 2022, and another Aby boy, Ryū, in 2023.. We live in rural France, in a region called the Perche, which is famous for its heavy horses.
Oh No!! sticking out his tongue at you... Maybe his nose just itched.. or he had something on his nose and was cleaning it off... Wags Ernie,Sasha,Chica,Lucas
Tama, Bibi looks bigger than you. Reminds me of my human brother, who is bigger than Mom. It all goes downhill when you get to that point, in terms of proper respect!
When those hormones kick in, that's when certain "younglings" start to be a little rude & disrespectful. Sigh. Boys will always be boys.
My son, River doesn't understand how rude it is to HUMP me, his mother!!! I give him big scolding everytime he does that. He usually gets the message pretty quick.
Now is the time for the diva in you to assert itself. Give him a nice whap and one of "those looks". But you know love, we went through our disrespectful periods too when we were just young ones . One would never suspect it because we are so perfect now.
Respect is an unheard of word in this day and age. Blap him on the head a couple three times Hon. Seems that's all the younger generation understands. Maybe coming from Mom the message will sink in.

Give him the smackdown Tama-Chan. These young boys need to know just who is in charge.
ReplyDeleteYour friend,

Gotta keep an eye on those teenagers, Tama-Chan. Sounds like it might be time to take away some of his playthings:)

ReplyDeleteTama, that boy needs some remedial lessons in etiquette - and respect for his elders!
