Serious SEIturday

Sei-Chan
: As we sit here, in our quiet corner of rural France, we contemplate what is being faced by so many of our friends in Japan, and we are grateful to be together and safe, and that so far, all our friends have checked in OK. Ms. S who breeds Abys and whom #1 visited when in Tokyo is fine as are all the kitties. The friend #1 always stays with is fine. Most of the damage she suffered was in her kitchen where her stove/oven door was ripped off by the quake. Right now, everyone is watching the nuclear reactors in Fukushima (200+km north of Tokyo) with growing fears of a meltdown. We are finding FaceBook to be one of the best tools in keeping in touch with as many friends as possible. We are sending purrs and woofs, crossing paws and a huge shout of "GAMBARE!" (hang in there!) to everyone over there.

PS: It has been a while since they last updated their blog but our friend Tekorin posted today to say that he and his family are OK In Tokyo. If you have a minute, please go over and give them some moral support!

  1. Your post raised gooseflesh here on Khyra's Mom -

We've been following it since yesterday this time or so -

And were very sad to see the some of the fears about the one plant are starting to come true -

Thanks for sharing what you've heard from there -

And for keeping your friends in touch from rural France -

All will be in our thoughts -

  4. It is so huge that it is hard to grasp. I have watched the videos several times, always with a part of my braining saying, "impossible, that can't be real." I find that my instincts are telling me to cling to the normal and retreat into the mundane. It is beyond imagining.

  15. The more we see of the tragedy, the harder it is to believe that something of this magnitude has actually happened. Our hearts break when we think of all the innocent victims, both people and animals. I have always been a great lover of oceans. I cannot even comprehend tsunami now. I have always heard of them and have seen footage of them before. But nothing like this!

  19. Hi, セイちゃん, your #1 lived in Japan for a long time, so she must be worried about many friends there. I am glad she found out they are ok. My hometown is between Tokyo and Fukushima, so I am really worried about nuclear reactor there. I pray for those who lost so much and hope the worst is over.
