The bath water was rather peculiar in colour...
ORANGE! It contained bath salts from the Japanese hot spring resort of Arima. Let me take a closer look...
How close can I get without falling in?
Better make sure she is still breathing...
Bathtub surfing is hard work. I need a rest!
#1 said the bath made her feel a lot better, as did a good night's sleep. By the way, despite all promises, she is abandoning us again tomorrow although her excuse is that, this time, she is only going as far as Paris. She will be working at the Percheron stand at the national agricultural fair (Salon de l'Agriculture) and has promised to be back by Friday evening. Tommy will be staying with his Briard friend Sissi. So, our next post will be on SEIturday!
Hey there #1
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear about yet another fall...those kinds of falls can be rather painful.
But I must say, I've been in fits of giggles here...taking a camera INTO the bath! LOL! Now that's a first. Cute pictures though!
Get better soon.

MAXMOM IN SOUTH AFRICA
I was worried when I saw the first photo that #1 had been rolling about in the dirt or something. Phew. Just soothing bath salts. Hope it helped.
ReplyDeleteSlobbers,
Mango
Oh no! Poor #1, that must have hurt. We're sending her lots of snuggles. We're glad you didn't fall in the bath, Tama! We're not sure you would have found it as relaxing as #1 :P
ReplyDeleteFirst thank you so much for coming by our blog and sending purrs all the way from France. That should surly make Lucky feel better.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that #1 had a crash. That doesn't sound like fun. We see you have a horse too. We have two miniature donkeys but Mom used to have lots of horses. Sure is nice to meet you.
oh noes, we is sorry you falled!!!
ReplyDeletethat orinch water looks GREAT! - Billy
Woo are khwite the agile snakhkchat!
ReplyDeletePlease tell #1 to rest up and stuff!
Hugz&Khysses,
Khyra
PeeEssWoo: Hi Tommy! I'll romp in the snow today fur woo! Have fun with your furry furiend!
We hope #1 feels much better soon ~ and has a safe journey.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness you were there
ReplyDeleteTama-Chan so that you could get her into the bath with plenty of bath salts. We hope her bottom isn't black and blue today.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Haha which one of you kitties was taking pictures of #1 and Tama in the tub? I hope that #1 is feeling better and enjoys her trip to Paris with the horses. Mom says that she is super jealous and it getting all those romantic notions in her head of horse drawn carriges and that pretty tower...mothers.
ReplyDelete#1 did pretty well to photograph you while she was in the bath! Above all else, don't FALL my Dad always tells my Mom, and vice versa. We are glad she didn't seem to break anything.
ReplyDeletePoor #1 - we hope the bruises heal. And you are so brave being on that bath tub. I have never seen one but apparently Aila-sisko used to love sitting on the bath and dipping a paw in when Äiti was in England. Madness.
ReplyDeleteI am glad she is okay--I am sure it was because of your skilled nursing help. I can't believe that after all you did for her that she is just up and leaving you again!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry for the fall - mega ouchie!!! But the flashy beast made it to the tub too:) BOLOLOL - #1 is a dedicated blogger. We do hope she heals well and there were no serious injuries.
ReplyDeleteWoos ~ Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara
Actually, when I saw the color of the water, my first thought was that your human had gotten awfully dirty! Maybe mucking out a stable or something! I have to say, that as vexing as her travels are, it does sound like she has a really interesting life!
ReplyDeleteThanks Cod ! She is ok. !!!
ReplyDeleteI hope she feel better !!! Please give my big hug to her.
xxx
Hope you are okay after the fall....BE CAREFUL! We don't want you hurt!
ReplyDeleteFeel better soon #1!
ReplyDeletePoor #1! We hope there is nothing broken! The warm bath was just the thing to soothe the bruising. Is there an electric heating pad that can go along with her on her trip? If the weather goes cold, muscles will begin to cramp up and neck and spine ache terribly. A heating pad over the sore areas will be welcome.
ReplyDeleteIf this terrible thing had to happen, we are glad no kitty was involved. We'll miss you much. Muchly much ! Kisses and hugs.
Looks like you are a very good nurse Tama-Chan!
ReplyDeletePurrs for #1
Caro
Your #1 needs to be more careful. We don't want her to get broken. We wondered why she had orinch bath water.
ReplyDeleteOh #1, that's such a bummer! (sorry, I had to do it).
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful (short) trip!
~Lisa Co9T
You sure are brave getting near that wet stuff!
ReplyDeleteBenny & Lily
You are a good nurse, Tama!! I'm glad to hear that #1 is alright! I bet those salts helped a lot! I visited a Japanese Onsen last year and it was amazing!
ReplyDeleteyou are so sweet to risk that water to check on your bean! well done on the balancing! mom says you are a very beautiful kitty!
ReplyDeleteshe also says when she was a young'n she fell down some stairs too- while holding onto one of her cats!! can you believe that- she said the cat knew what was coming and got the heck away from her. so she can sympathize with your ouchies!!
Poor #1. I hope she is feeling better now.
ReplyDeleteOh we are so sorry #1 fell down the stairs! Our mom has had that happen before too (though ours aren't stone, so she said that it probably wasn't nearly as bad). We think that you did a great job of keeping an eye on her Tama - you are a very good caretaker! We hope #1 isn't sore for too long!
ReplyDeleteI've been to Arima on-sen! Loved it.
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon, #1!!!
Good thing you watched after her. Orange bath water? That is different. Hope she feels better soon. :)
ReplyDeleteYou are very good nurse, Tama-Chan :-) I'm glad #1 feels better. I love Japanese hot springs bath salts. I want to go to Arima Onsen some day.
ReplyDeleteHope #1 is not too sore while she is away trying to do things. Lucky for her, she has plenty of furries to welcome her back after her short trip (and to monitor any soaking bath she might need when she arrives home).
ReplyDeleteOh no! Poor # 1. Tama, you gave the right advice & that looks like a really nice bathtub for soaking. You remind me of my old kitty Monger; he used to sit on the side of the tub when BB was little and taking her baths. We always gave him a cup of water and called it his "tea party." Tell # 1 to have a fun time at the agriculture show!
ReplyDeleteSorry to here about the fall, sounds painful! We thought you had gone rusty when we saw the colour of the bath water! Phew relief!
ReplyDeleteTama you did well supervising the bath and great work on the surfing!

Odaijini! Hope #1 is fully recovered from the tumble down the stairs. I was so envious of the visit/work at the Salon de l'Agriculture in Paris - what a fun thing to do. And it's a good thing there are kitties to take care of the house while #1 is away.
ReplyDeleteTama, can you give Figaro bathtub surfing lessons? Seems he falls in almost all the time!
ReplyDeletePoor #1! That would have hurt lots! The PM was taking the wee ones car seats to the car at her sisters a few months ago and was going down the stairs and slipped and went down the rest on the rear end. Seats went flying! Hurt her tailbone and that takes FOREVER to heal. :(
ReplyDeleteHope that soak helped!!
MOL, we had to look twice when we looked at that bath water first! WE thought it was dirty water till we read it was some fancy orange bath stuff!
