Tama-Chan Tuesday - Time To Travel!

Tama-Chan: Hello, Dear Friends. I hope you are well and enjoying the last few days of spring. It has been nice here and we are spending quite a bit of time out in the run.

Remember the pre-pandemic days when #1 had itchy feet and would be off hither and thither at the drop of a hat? This past year has been so wonderful because she has been here, with some very minor exceptions, and I for one have loved every moment. I am sad to say, however, that things are about to change and we shall be paying the price of all this togetherness. On Saturday, June 19th, #1 will be leaving us for two and a half months! She will be flying to Japan where she has a job as stable coordinator for the equestrian events at the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics. She says it is a huge honour and an amazing opportunity, but that changes nothing to the fact that she won't be here for so long. Sniff... We shall tell you more about this, and plans for our care and posts over this period, but I wanted to start with this advance notice. Today included, we still have her here for almost 12 days.

As I mentioned, I have been spending time in the cat run:

Thinking about how to blog when #1 is away...

We shall keep you posted, and things will continue as normal until #1 leaves.

  5. Sorry you have to be away from #1 for such a long time. I though 2 and a half weeks was long. Looking forward to #1 updates on her adventures.

  6. You are looking very lovely today, Miss Tama-Chan. We will keep our paws crossed that #1 has a successful and safe time while she is away. She is uniquely qualified to help there with her language skills and horse knowledge. They are lucky to have her but we know you all will miss her terribly.

  7. That really, really is quite special for #1. Maybe y'all can keep in touch via Zoom or something. It is a really long time but it will zip by before you know it.

  13. Hi beautiful Tama! Wow - what a cool thing for No. 1! But I hate it for you that she’s going to be gone so long. Still, you’ll be having adventures and we will still get to hear about them!
