Tama-Chan: Since we left you "in suspenders" yesterday, we should start off with an update on #1's meeting with the doctor. He came by in the afternoon and took a good look at the x-rays and the knee. He was rather taken aback at #1's poor knee, but not because of the accident. You see, that ole knee has been dealing with one thing and another ever since #1 was 16 years old, and it's pretty beaten up. In fact, it is in such a state that the additional hairline fracture doesn't seem to be making that much difference. So, at some stage in the not too distant future, there may well be a knee replacement in her future. But for now, the doctor said it was OK for her to go Belgium next week, as long as she's careful. And the leg is feeling better. We'll see how it heals up over the coming weeks...
Anyway, you know how important it is to be on good terms with your doctor, right? Well, I have to confess that I love Dr. J and I was not shy about letting him know it!
Of course, this does not mean that I have forsaken snuggling with my Tommy!
And the same goes for Sei-Chan, of course:
My Beebs has spent his share of time snuggling in bed with #1:
And here is an "interesting" shot of him snuggling with Tommy!!!
Genji of course snuggles with #1 wherever she might happen to be!
But our favourite snuggle shot this week is this one of Sei-Chan and #1:
Wishing you all a Happy and Snuggly Sunday
Thank goodness the doctor said it was ok for #1 to travel. You extra snuggles should help quite a bit.
ReplyDeleteOh no! Your #1 now has to join a very elite club - those with naughty kneecaps are allowed in! So thats me, Aila-sisko, My girlfriend Maggie may and her pals, and now your #1. We send loads of healing purrs. Keep snuggling - she needs it!

I don't think I would mind getting flirty with a HUMAN doc - it's the vets I don't like much! It sounds like a bionic knee is in #1's future!
ReplyDeleteKnees! Problems for all species ! We are happy to hear that #1 will be able to make her trip to Belgium . And what a lovely doctor she has! Any doc who enjoys the company of kitties is obviously a very fine fellow indeed. Tell #1 to take it very easy now so she can enjoy her event later. Our love to you.
ReplyDelete(Our mum got told several years ago she had bilateral knee replacements in her future. And that time is closing
in.)
Felix says knee surgery is a breeze--just no leaping about for six weeks...MOL! We are glad #1 is feeling better and she won't miss her trip. Great snuggles this Sunday!
ReplyDeleteHow fortunate you are to have a doctor who makes house calls! Looks like it was a good day for snuggles all around. Good luck to #1. We will keep her in our thoughts and prayers.
ReplyDeleteWoos - Phantom, Ciara, and Lightning and Mom
So glad to hear your knee is okay for now! I hope it feels much better soon and stays more pain free than expected.
ReplyDeleteTommy, seeing you with all your kitties and the snuggles reminds me of how fond all of our kitties were of our dog Happy. He was the house favorite of all of the furry folk here.
Have a great start to your week!
Lily, WA, USA
A doctor that makes house calls is a very rare thing in the USA. We are glad #1 can go on her trip and hope she continues to heal well.

All that kittie purring worked. Hope #1 has a good trip and doesn't do anything to mess up her knee any more.
ReplyDeleteI am glad that #1 is allowed to travel. All that snuggling is helping her knee feel better.
ReplyDeleteSo much snuggling going on! And we're glad #1 is able to travel, though we're sorry to hear that her knee is so bad.
ReplyDeleteWell, we hope #1 doesn't need a new knee! Our mom needs a new one too, but she is too young and is putting up with the pain until she's old enough to have it done.
ReplyDeleteAnd we'll like to say there aren't a whole lot of things the mom is too young for! She was glad to find something that qualified???
