Tama-Chan: Since so many of you asked, here is an update on #1. She had both ultra-sounds and x-rays yesterday. The ultra-sound showed that there is in fact nothing wrong with her tendon (phew!) but that there is still some knee-joint effusion. The knee cap also seems fine. The x-ray, however, showed a hairline fracture of the tibial plateau. She will be talking with and seeing her GP again over the next couple of days but it doesn't look like there is anything much to be done, other than let t heal. She is walking better and feeing more comfortable every day. Paws crossed that she will be well enough to go off to her big heavy horse event in Belgium next week.
I have of course been very busy, keeping her company in bed...
Making sure her breakfasts are delicious and nutritious:
Making her feel calm and peaceful:
I have also been keeping watch on the outside to make sure there are no unwanted intruders:
And one of course needs one's beauty rest in there as well...
That's a relief! Hoping you heal up quickly!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day, everybuddy!
Your mission now is to make sure #1 gets her rest. You might need to crate her if she insists on cavorting about. Either that, or just pile up on top of her.
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Dexter
That's good news !
ReplyDeleteSending lots of purring for purrfect healing
Xoxo
THANK GOODNESS! That could have been so much more unfortunate than it is. WHEW! You are all helping tremendously. xxoo
ReplyDeleteYou make an excellent carer Tama-Chan and we hope you are tasting all #1's food to make sure it is tasty.
ReplyDeleteLuv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Take care with 1's injury, Tama. Be sure she rests the leg. That injury is in a major load bearing area. No
ReplyDeleteexacerbation or complication wanted.
we are very glad it wasn't more serious
ReplyDeleteYikes! Sending healing thoughts to #1
ReplyDeleteBenny & Lily
Excellent work, Tama-chama. I'm sure you are the best nurse that #1 could ever have :D

I'm glad to hear that #1 is healing, and that it is nothing too awful. Make sure she rests up and does not get too active too soon - that will hamper healing! You know humans, always trying to rush getting better. ;-)
ReplyDeleteYou're a very good nurse Tama ; we are glad to read that it is nothing too bad for #1. Healing purrs
ReplyDeleteThat's a relief to hear no permanent damage. Looks like you are doing a perfect job of helping too. Hugs GJ xx
ReplyDeleteOh look at that excellent work you are doing...
ReplyDeleteThat is good news. Now if only the doctor will come up with something to make her feel better. You are doing a great nursing job.f
ReplyDeleteMommy is wondering what is UP with folks' knees lately...and does #1 want to borrow her snazzy cane?
ReplyDeleteWe are all sending healing purrs her way!
We're glad to hear that #1 is on the mend. With Tama's competent nursing, we're sure she'll be feeling better in no time.

ReplyDeleteGood news nothing major is wrong. Hope she feels better soon.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful nurse you make, Tama. We'll keep sending healing purrs for #1's bum leg.
ReplyDeleteVery smart Tamt. The first thing to learn is to take care of yourself so
ReplyDeleteyou can help #1.

We are glad its not more serious! We are sending healing purrs to #1, but the best medicine is to snuggle up with a couple purring kitties. We're sure you are all doing everything you can.
ReplyDeleteDoing a great job on the nursing routine.
ReplyDeleteWe join the others in saying we hope #1 heals well, and to really look after that tibia. In the long run it should lay her up much less than a tendon would have, but she should rest rest rest!
