Violette: Pretty Neighs, Everyone! How have you all been? It's been quite a while since there was a Percheron Post! So, the farrier came on Wednesday, and so did #1, and she was able to take some photos. I have to tell you right up front that I was the best behaved for the farrier, and I got extra cuddles and treats from #1!
It was a big day for my little sis, Heloise, as she got her first ever shoes! #1 and Ms. C were wondering whether she would panic at the smoke and the hammering of nails, but she did not even flinch! Just as though she had been getting shoes put on for years! She's a cool one, that girl!
As for The Big V, he was a bit naughty and had to be told off several times by the farrier for trying to rest all his weight on him.
Mama Hotesse could have done with a trim but she was not in the mood, so we left her alone
Oh, and guess what? Ms. C's mare, Ursula, had a cute little colt! His name is Malin and he is already a little scamp!

ReplyDeleteI knew you would be good for the farrier Violette, and I am glad Heloise was too. Did she do the funny high stepping walk with her shoes? Some of the horses we have had here have done that with their first set of shoes. Malin looks very sweet.
