Sunday Celebration - Queen Tama's Birthday!

#1 here. Today is our beloved Tama-Chan's 12th birthday. Our Queen Tama, Mama Tama, and the Keeper of memories. She and I have come on a long journey together over the last 12 years.

This is the first photo I ver saw of her:

Needless to say, it was love at first sight. Her breeder told me she had some deformities on her paws and did I want her. All he wanted in exchange was that she have a litter of kittens. So, Tama arrived at Poupounette Central for Halloween 2008.

She very quickly became best friends with Sen-Chan:

And once Sen-Chan left, it was Tommy who raised her.

A little more than a year after she arrived, she had a litter of four beautiful kittens who were born by C-section.

Of the four kittens, it was her son, Beebs, who stayed on.

At first, Tama was rather a distant cat but, over the years, she has become more and more snuggly and sweet. She and I love to sit together.

Tama has always been drop-dead gorgeous:

As the years have passed, she has become quite mellow. She had a health scare a few years ago. We initially feared it might be a cardiac issue, but it turned out to be an unspecified allergy, so she takes a very low dose of prednisone on a daily basis. So far so good. She has grown quite adept at unique and innovate dangles.

The loss in short order of Sei-Chan, Tommy and Bibi was a big blow to us all, and she wasn't at all sure when a new puppy arrived, but she has become extremely fond of Ollie.

She has become increasingly relaxed as she naps around the house.

She also enjoys spending time out in the cat run:

My Tama is infinitely precious to me. Together, we keep the memories of The Poupounette. I hope we will walk together for many more years.
