Violette: Pretty Neighs, Everyone! Are you well? It's been a bit wet over here recently and the big mud puddle reappeared at the entrance to my field. Mercifully, #1 hasn't fallen in it again! Yet! Neeeeeighs!
As you know, we had family visiting Poupounette Central on Sunday, and then they came to see us! Here is a nice photo one of the cousins took:
It had been dull and rainy all day but the sun came out just for their visit! As you can see, my friend Diddle was with us too!
Uncle E and Ms. S were there too as they brought the Big V back, and Ms. S took advantage of this opportunity to give me my worming medication. In the case of us horses, it is administered with a syringe. This one was actually pretty yummy!
And by the way, it is Ms. S's birthday today so we would all like to neigh her a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Vidock: Studly Neighs, EveryFriend! You already know about my return to my field as I wrote about it on Manly Monday, but here I am just off the trailer with Uncle E:
And here is #1 getting instructions from Mr. E about how to keep me fit and happy. As you can see, I was listening closely:
When I was away, I was in a box, so I ate hay but now I am back in my field, I am enjoying the grass!
It's going to be sunny and warm today and tomorrow!
Happy Birthday Ms. S !!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd Miss Violet..you probably don't know. I do eat the grass too ! But sadly I'm still in da jail. It's nice to smell da grass from your post :)
xoxo
Violette, you are looking lovely and the sun agrees with you :)
ReplyDeleteVidock, it must be nice to be in a nice grassy field for a while :)

I had no idea horses needed worm meds! A kitty learns something new every day. Happy birthday to Ms. S!
ReplyDeleteOh. That is new information to us - that you eat hay in the box and grass when outside. It did not cross our minds at all. We thought you would eat hay outside as well as grass.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Ms. S. Looks like fun with the company :)
ReplyDeleteJust to clarify, the horses do also eat hay outside, depending on how much grass is available.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Ms S!
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely photo of all of you walking in the sun Violette. Mum worms all the horses here too but they don't tell her it is tasty. Maybe they should tell her to use the apple flavoured one.
I am glad you were paying close attention Vidock when Mr E was telling #1 how to keep you fit. It must feel good to be back in your field with the grass, and the sun on your back.
What a lovely picture of you and #1, Violette ! And we understand you Vidock, enjoy your grass after eating only hay for a while ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteWe are so happy you have some sun. Hopefully all that wet feets stuff is gone for awhile

Happy Birthday Ms. S! Many happy returns of the day. Thank you for taking good care of our horse friends.
ReplyDeleteWelcome home Vidock! Time for some well earned rest and relaxation and enjoyment of these lazy summer days. Love to all.
I wish we had fields to turn our horses out in. They wouldn't know what to do.

Many thanks to you Princess Violette and King Vidock for the Birthday wishes And many thanks to your friends to relay the event
ReplyDeleteit warms my heart a lot
Violette, it was nice seeing you take your worm medicine so well. We don't like taking medicines at all.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Mrs. S!
We love that photo of happy #1 leading sweet and equally happy Violette with blue skies overhead! Vidock you look very fit and happy to find yourself in your field once again :)
ReplyDeletethe critters in the cottage xo
Wishing Miss S a (belated but warm) happy Birthday!!
ReplyDeleteV's, you BOTH look healthy and happy and gorgeous. As always.
ReplyDeleteBelated Happy Birthday to Ms. S, Mommy says she likes the way she worms you much better then the way Doc wormed her horses. Tube up the nose and down the throat and liquid poured in it. Sometimes the horse sneezed and Doc got wormed MOL & BOL. Ms S's way looks way more civilized.
