Tom: We are very thankful that #1 came home safely to us last night after driving a total of more than six hours to get to her destination and back. #1 did indeed go to the French chateau of the King of… Morocco! He is a great fan of Percheron horses and has a number of them. He has generously agreed to take several over to the United States next year for the 2014 World Percheron Congress in Massachusetts. The project is #1's brainchild and she was there to start discussing the logistics details which are many. Sadly, there are no photos as photography is not allowed on site, but apparently it was all beautiful, starting with the horses!
But here are photos of the two stallions who will be going, taken back in August at the big Percheron Fair (the one that Violette was at!):
So, if you would like to see these gorgeous boys and are on the East Coast, the place to be will be West Springfield, Massachusetts, between October 6 and 13, 2014. #1 will be there too!
Let's have a reality check after all that fancy stuff, shall we? I have a couple of great toe close-ups for you!
Oh, and Da Beebs was very thankful for the great box he got to play in!
And we are thankful for our continued sunshine, although the nights are icy and the mornings nippy. #1 says it means she can take some nice photos!
Our newest camera has just gone in for repairs and #1 is beginning to wonder if she transmits camera-destroying vibes...
Those two boys are really handsome Tommy. We also enjoyed your toes. I don't think we have ever seen them so clearly.
ReplyDeleteWow, that is awesome that #1 is involved in such an important event! We are all very impressed over here. Is she going to be there too?
ReplyDeleteHi Tommy
ReplyDeletePippa is asnoozing so I am commenting instead. Pleased to hear no 1 came home safely, long journeys are always a pain. Sounds an exciting project - muchissimo organisation by the sound of it.
Great toes. Toe shots are always good. Although perhaps they should be posted on Toesday not Thursday?

That must have been such an exciting evening for #1. Our Mom says she bets the show next year will be at the Coliseum at the Big E in West Springfield. Mom was born and raised in Springfield and her first apartment with Dad was in West Springfield. She should plan a trip back to her hometown for that big Percheron event and maybe get to meet #1:)
ReplyDeleteWoos - Phantom, Ciara, and Lightning

ReplyDeleteHow exciting for #1! We hope all goes well with her project.
ReplyDeleteAnd we love your toesies, Tommy!
Those beautiful Percherons are great to watch. Still, we like looking at your Abys even more. ;-) (We'll admit we're biased.)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations #1! We sure wish we could go to the Percheron Show on the East Coast! And the Beebs has a totally terrific BOX!
ReplyDeleteMommy says Daddy has bad karma with electronics. Everything he touches seems to break.
