We well remember that day, in the summer of 2009, when Whitey was first rescued by Mom Barb. He was in such a horrendous state, having clearly suffered major trauma. Despite all that happened to him he was such a sweet boy and captured all our hearts, as well as those of his brothers Gandalf and Grayson, and later on, his sister Graycie.
We watched with growing dread as he grew sicker and sicker since the beginning of this year. Each time he seemed to turn a corner, something else would come up. Barb loved him and cared for him with all her heart, but his time among us was up, and he has now gone to the Bridge.
Whitey, you were loved not just by one family in Georgia but by thousands all over the world. Sad as we are to lose you, we can imagine how thrilled many at Rainbow Bridge are to see you. We will miss you, Big Guy. SRSLY!
Thank you Virginia, and alla the Chans.

Mum used to follow Whitey on their blog before we came to live with her, right from when Barb found him.
ReplyDeleteShe visited less after she had us and started to blog about us but she still loved to visit now and again.

What a lovely tribute to such a much-loved ManCat...we are truly sad he is gone, but we are truly happy that he found Barb and had 3 years of love...Our Teri and Cat Daddy were only married 7 years when he died, but Teri said those were the best 7 years ever...that is how we would like to remember Whitey's life...
