Secret Sunday!

Tama-Chan: We have something a little different for you this week. Normally, we spend our Sundays here at Poupounette Central besnuggled, but today, we are befuddled! Yesterday, the man in the yellow van (La Poste does its rural deliveries in little mustard yellow vans) brought a parcel. It had La Poste tape on it so we don't know if it had torn or been inspected, but it has no return address on it and no card inside! The only thing we know is that it said "Secret Santa" on it and the postmark indicates that it comes from around Gloucester in the UK. Could this be our Secret Paws parcel? If so, we would really love to know who sent it!

In the meantime, we did open it (#1 said it was so that we could try to elucidate the mystery...) and we are a bunch of very happy kitties. Tommy, however, is sulking, having established that there was nothing there for him...

Genji was the first to check things out:

Although Sei-Chan was also on the scene pretty quickly!

Sleepyhead Bibi asked for bed delivery!

But he did eventually get up to take a closer look!

There was lots of great stuff in there...

... including a play cube, and tunnel, and crinkly balls and lots of mousies and whappy toys. THANKS!

I was of course supervising the unwrapping from above:

So, Dear Friends, we eagerly await to find out who our "Secret Santa" is!

To "wrap up" our Sunday post, we would like to show you the illustration from the December page of one of our Japanese calendars:

The caption says "If we all get together, even a little strength becomes great"! We love that thought!

  1. What a nice surprise. I hope that your secret Santa is revealed. I sometimes get pressies from across the globe that have the tape on them too. Seems like they must transport via catapult or something.

  6. You could always ask Truffle and Brulee at Sweet Purrfections as they allocated the partners. If they can't help we are sure their Mom Paula might know!

  10. Poor Tommy! If we weren't so far away (expensive to mail things) we'd send him prezzies.

  11. Those look like fun gifts, although it's kind of a shame Tommy and Vidock aren't included. That is very mysterious that there is no name! I think my name is on the return address to my Secret Paw partner (my human did the mailing so I didn't check for sure).

  14. Cool that you got your package. Check the list of the Secret Paw list and see if you could work it out. Or if they don't come forward, ask Mom Paula who set this all up.

Sorry Tommy didn't get a prezzie.

  15. That caption seems most appropriate at this time.

Poor Tommy, but we are sure you kitties will find a way to share some of your fun with him too. Poor guy looks so sad - #1, please give him some snooter smoochies from us, and maybe a couple of extra treats.

We are racking our brains for Britcats near Gloucester, but we don't know who it could be. Eric and FLynn are a bit further south. Äiti used to live in Bristol but we know it wasn't her - how utterly curious!

  23. Ok, I confess, it was me! I am your Secret Santa! Mum was a bit silly and forgot to put a card in - she didn't have her Christmas head on, she says!! No excuse really.

Am glad you liked the parcel, and I am sorry Mum forgot to include Tommy. She says can you give him a head rub from her to try and make up for it/
