We hope you don't mind us borrowing a photo of you.
Today, we would also like to say farewell to another friend, a magnificent woofie called KAI. He belonged to Dr. C who looks after us all with such caring and kindness. #1 says she will never forget the first time she set eyes on him. She loved those eyes. Kai was a Sarloos Wolfhound, a breed created in the Netherlands in the 1930s by crossing German shepherds and wolves. He was utterly gentle despite his very imposing stature:
We can imagine how much his sister Saka (on the right in the photo below), and Dr.C and her family will miss him.
Our condolences about your friends journey to the bridge :( We hadn't heard of those wolf dogs before, even though I am ALWAYS getting called a wolf. I am sure they would be lovely dogs. Perhaps they will get another one for Shaka.

We are still so sad that Admiral is gone, hers will be missed.
ReplyDeleteAnd Kai was a beautiful dog.

I am very sad about Admiral, too. And so sorry about the loss of your friend Kai. What a beautiful doggie he was.
ReplyDeleteWe still feel so sad for Carole about sweet Admiral having to sail away. They both loved each other so much. And another loss - your sweet woofie friend Kai - purrs for you and for Kai's humans and sister woofie. Wish that beloved fur children could all stay forever.
ReplyDeleteA sad day in the blogosphere but we are sure the angel cats and dogs are happy to see Admiral & Kai.
ReplyDeletePurrs to all of you!
What a sad day. We send soft purrs to Dr. C and Shaka.
ReplyDeletePurring for all who have crossed the Bridge
ReplyDeleteWe are sorry you have lost your woofie friend Kai he looked a very gentle dog.
ReplyDeleteWe are so shocked last evening to read the sad news about Admiral - we knew she had her problems and needed medication as her Mum and our Mum both used to come up with ideas for getting the tablets to go down without a fuss. Sweet Admiral had pill pockets and our Hannah gets hers heavily disguised! We will miss her beautiful face on the CB.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
This is indeed a very sad day. The Bridge has seen some amazing creatures pass over. We shall be looking for the northern lights to know they are playing safely.....
ReplyDeleteSo many good friends that are passing before us! Some animals are extra special, and when we lose them, we feel a real loss. My condolences on the loss of your friend Kai.

Although we did not know Admiral, we do know that she was deeply loved by all of her friends and admirers. God speed, dear Admiral.
ReplyDeleteI remember when you introduced us to these handsome dogs in an earlier post. They are so lovely with their beautiful, soft, mesmerizing eyes. When you look into their intelligent faced, you know they are thinking beings. I love all animals but am a complete cat lady. These lovely dogs, just like your Tommy, just touch something in me that I can't explain. We send our love and prayers to his family and especially his sister whom he leaves behind.
