Manly Monday

 

The Chan Boys - Benny, Momo & Ryū: There has been a great deal of manliness, large and small, on show these last couple of days, as we have started to get to know each other. #1 brought little Ryū downstairs in a harness for about an hour at a time. We are happy to announce that not a single manly hiss has been heard (except Ryū hissing at poor Ollie...). Here's a bunch of pics:

But Benny wasn't far behind:

Benny even got to visit Ryū "at home!" This first pic is much more interesting if you know that Benny is inside the carrier!

Ryū was pretty pleased with his day!

Poor Ollie remains pretty frustrated, but he is being very good, and Ryū is gradually getting used to him.

PS: In case you are wondering, Queen Tama remains very laid-back about the whole thing.

Snuggles on Sunday

 

Tama-Chan: Welcome to our weekly snuggle post, this week with the addition of a new family member. So far, we have seen the newbie intermittently, but he seems like a good sort to me on first inspection.

So far, sweet little Momo is the only one who has actually given him kisses:

But Ryū-Chan has been snuggling up a storm with #1!

Sei-Chan's Souvenir Saturday

 

Rainbow Sei: Hello, Dear Friends, and Welcome Back to our Rainbow post! It's been a little intermittent of late, but, as you know, one has to adapt.

So, there is a new member of the Poupounette Gang and he is an Abyssinian. Since most of us here at the Bridge (except for Trav) are Abys, we are a little bit excited. It's the first Aby kitten since Genji and that was a dozen years ago! So, in honour of this, we decided that we would do a kitten pic post for al those of you who don't know us or didn't know us way back when.

We will start with the original "Poupounet", Sen-Chan. This pic dates from 2007:

Feline Friday - Welcome Ryū-Chan!

 

Ryū-Chan: Aby Miaows, Peoples! It is really exciting to meet you all! I have only been home for just over a day and #1 tells me I have friends all over the world and need to say hello! That is pretty exciting!

My official (registered) name is Ultimo de Pippin's Pride. My mama was born in England and her name is Piccolo (she is known as Pickle!). My daddy was born in the Ukraine and his name is Yogi! #1 told me there is a tradition for all cats at Poupounette Central (that's my forever home!) to have Japanese names, so she decided to call me Uryū (雨竜). That means Rain Dragon, and I will be called Ryū-Chan for short. That's Little Dragon!

I was born on April 14th, in a place called Brittany. I have had all my baby shots and I am microchipped. I was an only child! My mama and my human mama, Ms. V, looked after me really well and I have grown into a handsome boy (they say!).

My absolute favourite thing to do is to play! #1 put lots and lots of toys out for me!

I also like to eat all the yummy foods #1 puts out for me:

After I play and eat, I clean myself up:

And then I like to hang out with #1:

And then I get tired and need my kitten sleep. #1 says I have already mastered the dangle!

It's been really nice to meet you all, and I look forward to sharing my adventures with you. 

Thankful Thursday

 

#1 here again. The road trip to collect our newbie went very smoothly yesterday and he is now safely home and in his special quarters for a few days.

He will introduce himself properly to all of you tomorrow, on Feline Friday. It had been a dozen years since I last had an Abyssinian kitten (Genji) in the house and I had almost forgotten how very special they are. This little guy is so outgoing, friendly, active, bright, playful and hugely purry and affectionate. He's definitely a keeper!

PS: He is so tiny!!! He is three and a half months but he still feels like a baby!

Wednesday Wishes

 

#1 here. Today, I am driving half way to Brittany to collect the latest member of the Poupounette Gang. The breeder, Ms. V, has kindly agreed to meet me half way, so I will only be driving les than two hours there. 

A couple of days ago, I was in Le Mans and shopped at the favourite discount store of Da Phenny and Da Nelly's pawrents, NOZ. I found exactly what I needed, so the welcome mat is now out for the little one!

More on the newbie tomorrow! His palatial quarters are ready for his first few days!

Our wish is that he will settle in quickly and love his new home!

Tama-Chan Tuesday

 

Tama-Chan: Hello, Dear Friends. I have it on good authority that we are getting yet another pipsqueak this week. I am wondering what this one will be like like after the Panther Thug and the White Fluffball.  #1 (and Benny) says that I should find his appearance quite pleasing. Dya think?

Frankly, I am not sure the house will still be standing with three boisterous boys running around...

Anymiaow, I have been giving some thought to my pastimes as a senior girl must keep herself fit and trim. One of the things I m considering is pole dancing. Do you think it is too lowly for me?

By the way, I thought I would mention that I have a big birthday coming up next week. I shall be 15 years old! I hope you will all help me celebrate!

Manly Monday

 

Ollie: Yesterday, we had rain which #1 was very pleased about. It has remained cool for the season, which we are all pleased about! #1 took this nice photo of me in the garden:

We have left a big part of the garden wild and it is full of bees, butterflies and all sorts of bugs!

Momo: Summer or winter, I love my sky hammock!

Benny: I really like to sit at the kitchen window in the summer!

And guess who is going to be coming home this week?

Snuggles on Sunday

 

Tama-Chan: Another week has gone by, this one having been much enhanced by the presence of #1! In the midst of the terrible heatwave in many parts of the world, the daytime temps here have been pleasant and it is almost cool at night!

Little Momo has been so pleased to have his Ollie back!

And there are always thorough morning snuggles on #1's bed!

I have of course been getting my fill of #1 snuggles!

And #1 even managed to get some snuggle pics with Miss Violette:
